  4. Here at GolfWRX, we want to help our readers improve at golf, the sport we all love. That means helping you make better buying decisions when it comes to equipment, arming you with knowledge about the swing, teaching you about the mental game, helping you develop fitness regimens, or any of the other many facets necessary to improve. But we wanted to dive deeper, and give every reader the chance to get customized swing analysis and drills from some of the world's best instructors. That’s why we’re so excited to announce our partnership with V1 Sports in our new Lesson of the Day series. As part of this new endeavor, you will not only get a lesson from one of golf's best instructors through the V1 Sports Platform, but the process is incredibly simple... and it’s FREE. This costs you absolutely nothing. Learn how to submit your video here!!
  5. There are golf courses around the country that offer amazing scenery and intriguing layouts without burning through your wallet. These are the diamonds in the rough, the "hidden gems." They’re the hole-in-the-wall pizzerias that have way better food than the over-priced, sit-down Italian restaurant with the long wait and pretentious vibes. In order to compile a helpful list of these hidden gem golf courses throughout the country, we need the help of GolfWRX Members. To qualify, the course must cost less than $50, and it must be a fully public golf course. In the thread below, please post the following information to submit your favorite course(s): Course Name: City, State: Price Range: Course Website: A brief description of why you think it's a hidden gem (and please include a photo if you have one!):
  6. We want to find out what laser rangefinder the GolfWRX community believes to be the best in golf. Please vote for what you think is the best laser rangefinder in your experience, and list the reasons why in the comment thread below. Did we miss a laser rangefinder that you think should be on the list? Tell us in the comments. Thank you for your input!
  7. GolfWRX is live from the 2018 PGA Championship at par-70 Bellerive Country Club in Town and Country, Missouri. The 7,317-yard track will play host to a major championship for just the third time in its history as one of the most venerable clubs in the St. Louis area. The most recent PGA Tour event contested at Bellerive was the 2008 BMW Championship, and the Robert Trent Jones track was also the venue for the 2013 Senior PGA Championship. Last week's winner, Justin Thomas, is the fourth major's defending champion, and he'll look to hold off a field that features all but two of the top 112 golfers in the world all looking to snatch the Wanamaker Trophy. Thomas, Dustin Johnson, and Rory McIlroy enter as favorites. Check out our photos from the 2018 PGA Championship below! Monday's Photos 2018 PGA Championship: Mon. Pt. 1 2018 PGA Championship: Mon. 8. Forum Members, My name is Andrew Tursky and I'm the Editor of the GolfWRX Front Page. What I want to do on our Front Page and social media accounts is alert readers to the most important/hottest topic in the forums each day; whether it's a new club, speculation, club reviews, a rules question, a hypothetical, a course topic, etc. But I'm going to need some help with this from the forum community! Here's how I hope it will work: While you're scrolling throughout the forums and you come across what's obviously a popular thread that day -- maybe new Titleist irons popped up in the forums, or Tiger changed irons, or the USGA just changed the COR rule or something -- or if there's just a really cool thread you think people should see, drop that link into this thread. If we decide to use that thread as the "Hottest Thread of the Day," we will give you credit in our posts for alerting us. Think about it like this, if someone completely missed an entire day on the GolfWRX Forums, what's the one thread they need to read? This will be a running thread!! We will keep this post pinned so you can always find it. We really appreciate your help with this, and we believe it will not only help non-GolfWRX Forum users find out about the community, but also help GolfWRX Forum Users find out what they missed each day. Thanks so much! -Andrew
  9. Factoring in course design, viewing enjoyment, overall test of golf, history, and whatever else you put into your criteria, what do you think is the best Open Championship venue, and why? Leave your comments in the thread below after you vote!
  10. You, the GolfWRX members, have spoken regarding the best blade irons of 2018: http://www.golfwrx.com/518238/golfwrx-members-choice-the-best-blade-irons-of-2018/ Now, we want to hear what you think are the best players irons, and why. Please select the top THREE from the list of players irons (which exclude blade offerings) and tell us why you picked those three in the comment thread below. Thanks!!
  11. GolfWRX is live from the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (par 70; 7,440 yards) in Southhampton, New York. The U.S. Open returns to Shinnecock for the first time since 2004 when Retief Goosen won (he failed to qualify for the 2018 event). Phil Mickelson, who has two top-5 finishes at Shinnecock Hills, will seek to fill out his career Grand Slam with a win this week. Also, it's Tiger Woods' 10-year anniversary of winning the legendary 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines -- that was his most recent major championship victory. Also in the field are headliners Dustin Johnson (now ranked No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings), Justin Thomas (No. 2), Justin Rose (No. 3), Jon Rahm (No. 4) and Jordan Spieth (No. 5). Brooks Koepka (No. 9) is the defending champion; he won last year by four shots for his first and only major so far in his career. Check out our photos from Shinnecock Hills below!
