  1. UPDATE: Tuned into coverage at just the right time and was able to snap a pic for reference. Not exactly like the FJ Sports as I had originally thought, but still a good like pair of sporty shoes.
  2. I can't find a pic posted yet, but does anyone know the make/model of JR's shoes he wore on Day 1 in Kiawah? They kind of look like the original FootJoy FJ Sports, but with a more robust navy heel. They look fresh, and would probably work well with shorts in the summer. Thanks for your help!
  3. Currently gaming a Ping Scottsdale TR Anser 2 which I recently had fitted and have since, paired with a concerted effort to practice more putting, improved my strokes-gained on the green considerably. While she has served me well over the years, I think it’s time to upgrade now that I’m feeling more confident over the ball and understand/appreciate how a solid investment in a putter will benefit my game for years to come. Looking to hopefully spend <$600 on a heel-toe design. And while I respect Scotty Cameron and his craftsmanship, I’m looking to see what other artisan brands are out there I should know about. Right now looking at a Piretti Cottonwood series putter, but have also heard good things about Bettinardi. Thoughts? Thanks!
  4. Agree with the Adam Scott comments. Loved his style from the Burberry and Aquascutum days. The fact that he switched labels to Uniqlo just made his style more affordable! I searched long and hard for the belt he wore during the Sunday round at the 2013 Masters, but couldn't find the exact style. I don't think Uniqlo was ready for the amount of traffic their site got once he won, in both bandwidth and inventory.
  5. Hello Forum, My buddy recently got his clubs stolen from his car. As you can imagine he is pretty bummed about it, but more so because he was just getting into the game and was seeing some drastic improvements due to taking a few lessons. He was about to go out and buy the same exact clubs as the ones that were stolen, but I told him to hold off and do a little more research before buying a new set. While I am not the best golfer in the world by any means (+12 hc), it has been a while since I have been in his shoes and I do not know what new equipment/technology is available for someone in his position. Basically I want to help him choose a set of irons which he can still use once he learns to consistently hit the ball well and shape shots, but will also continue to be forgiving enough for mishits. About my friend: Very high handicapper (100+) but has a great passion for the game and is serious about improving. He has finally learned that no matter how much natural athleticism he may possess, the golf gods only reward hard work and dedication. He has started to go to the range more and more often and if he keeps it up, I can see him breaking 100 in a year or so. About his (old) clubs: TaylorMade SpeedBlades (3-SW) with RBZ Driver and TM 3W and Hybrid - I do not recall which models though - all clubs were bought in 2013. His golf coach told him to check out the AP1s (I also rec'd these), Mizuno JPX, and the SpeedBlades. Any other recs I should tell him about as a good starting point? What about woods? Let's also proceed with the assumption that money is not an issue either. Thanks!
