1.
Slice is caused by an out to in swing path. Not your driver. There is no driver that will help a slice. I would recommend you take this drill to the range for 2-3 sessions - it will help fix your slice. The thing is if you're looking to change your swing you should wait until you've done that to buy new equipment. BC if you buy a new driver now - and then fix your slice a month from now that driver/shaft/loft combo might produce less efficient ball flight for your new swing. Here is the drill. It's very easy to setup and it gives you a visual for what not to do. I guess my line of thinking is that trying to fix it on a driver that is the same size as my 4H is probably not all that great of an idea compared to getting a more modern club.

After putting new grips on them they were a huge upgrade from my 15 year old Kmart special Top-Flite driver and knock off 3W. I am thinking now that I am wanting to step up a bit. I am not wanting to pay new club prices and I do not think my playing skill would justify a $300 driver. So I have been scrolling through eBay this morning and looking at some used clubs... I really liked the Amp Cell a few years back and with the Bio Cell + being under $150 that makes me really tempted. Additionally I really love the way the Cleveland Classic 290 looks and it is less than half that price. Thoughts, suggestions?
I would HIGHLY recommend you try to find a Titleist 910/913 d2 driver used. Don't waste your time chasing after some low spin driver to gain a couple of yards. Just get a driver that looks good with a shaft that fits.
So with me, I am a pretty bad golfer... ~100 - 120 average or so on good days. But my 2 problems stem from a wild slice off the tee and my crappy short game. I am hoping that stepping up to a modern driver coupled with some lessons will straighten the first part out.

4.
Some guys have all the luck. Maybe you guys will get a gold putter. Have a good time guys.
I had one of those given to me a few months back! Old PING, not sure what model.
5. Saw this on Facebook today and thought I would share for all the Star Trek fans... http://www.startrek.com/article/star-trek-fore-introducing-the-star-trek-golf-collection I am actually geek enough that the head covers are speaking to me.
6.
A solid set. I wrote a review of them on this forum when they first came out. Nice shot. :-)
Thanks... I read your review among others before making the buy.
7. So, the very first shot with my new irons, a gap wedge shot from about 104 yards out on the first hole and this happens: I should have gone home right then and there, things went way down hill after that.
8. Went down to the local superstore, they had a couple of the clubs from that set on the rack new and used, so I spent some time hitting them. Looks like they are running about 10 or so yards longer than my current clubs and I am seeing a good bit less side spin. Came home and placed the order, says they should ship in about 2 weeks.
9. I have a Taylor Made Original 1 and matching 3 and 5 woods in my garage, think of how good you would look rocking the retro set?
10. So the local golf superstore has the a12os set on sale right now and a weekend sale as well putting the set at $250 plus tax. I am VERY tempted to go pick a set up tomorrow. Right now, I am playing a 25+ year old set of "big brother" knock-offs and I think the technology of the current clubs is much better than what I have now. I am a very high handicapper so I think this would be a good GI set to help my game and at the price, I dont know that I can beat it. I would of course LOVE a set of G-25s but this is half the price and money is a very important factor at this time. Thoughts?
11. I am playing a 20 year old set of clubs I bought from my HS golf coach, I could certainly use a new set.
12. I keep seeing this company pop up as a suggestion on my Facebook page... When you click the link, you get taken to this page http://trythesrt.com/ I dont trust much if any products that try to sell themselves with a "risk free 30 day guarantee" and then 3 easy payments following that.
13. I picked up an Adams V3 19* off of eBay for ~$25 a couple of months back, I could not be happier with it. PM me if you would like to know who I got it from.
14. Ya, for $100 a lesson, I would not be tipping a bit... Especially considering that the going rate around here is about $55 - $60.
