  1. Had the Miura CB-57s and used them for 5 years. Got a set of Srixon Z745s a couple years ago and used them consistently but still kept the CB-57s just in case. Recently got the ZX7s and immediately sold the CB-57s. Still have the Z745s for now but will likely move them soon as the ZX7s are just much better than the other sets. Should mention that I had KBS Tours in the CB-57s and Modus 120s in both Srixon sets in case you want to explore shaft options but I still think with the same shafts the ZX7s are superior.

  5. Yoshiya Golf in Kyoto is a must. Got a used but in good condition Scotty Cameron AOP Newport with headcover for 5,900 yen. That’s only ~$55! Stopped by a Golf Partner in the Tokyo area and saw a used set of Mizuno MP-32 in 7.5/10 condition, 3-PW with NS Pro shafts and original Mizuno grips for 9,800 yen. That’s only ~$90! Definitely stop by as many golf shops as possible as they all seem to have some hidden gems, just need to be able to sift thru them. Used clubs are often in excellent condition and woods come with upgraded shafts. Entire club can be had for way less than buying sh
