1. Yes and... sorta yes. You can have the same swingweight with a MUCH heavier overall club depending on the way the weight is dispersed throughout the entire length of the club, this can impact the feel drastically. As for your two clubs, were there the same shafts in each? Shaft loading can have a huge impact on feel as well.
2. 16.5° is 4 wood loft in my book, My XCG6 4wood is 16.5° and the next club down is a 2 iron. I tried a 6 wood(21°) but the damn thing was only 10yds off my 4 wood distance and way less consistent for distance control, I chalked it up to the higher ball flight and less predictable spin rate on the 6wood and quickly put the 2 iron back in the bag.
3. Are you still running a x100 in the driver? I tried one in my cobra f6+. I tipped it 3 inchs and played to 44 inchs long. It wasn't noticeably straight. Are they meant for adaptors or should they be only used in glued in hosel type drivers? It felt a little flexy for my swing. I think I'm straighter with an aldila ripd nv 85 in the f6. Will putting an x100 in a vr pro nike driver which has a longer hosel section make a difference with making the shaft play stiffer? I know it's been a while since I posted anything here but yes, I do still play the SLDR with the X100 and I haven't yet found a s
4. Overall weight compared with a proper swing weight measurement is required to really tell what you "felt" compared to your old driver, an 8g weight difference in shafts is nothing, truly nothing unless the shaft is weighted very differently over the entire length, it could be the shaft loading differently, or any other number of variables. Personally, I would chalk it up to honeymoon period with the new to you M1. Remember, it's a mental game.
5. I play the Pure DTX standard size, although I like a larger right hand so my grip tape setup is kind of unusual. Eight layers total, tapered 1" down in length over the first four layers, so the first four layers against the shaft are 6", 5", 4" and 3" long from the bottom of the grip, then I do three lengthwise cover layers over that followed by a single layer of pure rubber electrical tape(this helps hold air-blown on grips). This takes a lot of the taper out of the grips under my bottom hand, which I find much easier to grip without strangling the club, I like to change grips and tinker w
6. Did you compare loft/lie on the Nike irons to your current gamers? Going even further, you could compare launch angle and spin in relation to the changes in loft between sets. I tend to get carried away with specifications and lofts, so forgive me. Current gamers; '94 Ram FX tour grind 2-PW (carry distances) Cally Jaws 56/60 Wedges The rest of my specs are in the sig. LW 70-105 SW 90-120 PW 115-145 9iron 155 8iron 160 7iron 175 6iron 190 5iron 210 4iron 225 3iron 235 2iron 245 4 wood 265 Driver 295 I highly prefer consistent distances and gaps over a "longer" set of irons, I would much
7. Ugh, So sorry for the lack of everything. Not even sure I've made a post here in the past two years. My hosting for my old picture store house has expired, I will have to take some new pictures, Luckily I'm stubborn and my bag has not changed at all since the last update. Incredibly short version of a new update; I'm 32 now. (it actually hurt to type that, I feel so old...body is feeling even older) My life kind of went crazy since I stopped posting last, starting in late 2015 and early 2016 I really began focusing on my game and entirely ignoring almost everything else, practicing 5 d
8. Appoligies for being "out of the loop" I've been extremely busy and haven't had many chances to sit in front of the computer lately with everything I have going on.
Did you have to do any special prep for the steel shafts into the TMAG Adapter on the SLDR? The SLDR head, 10.5 open to 8.5 or its 10.5 measured to 8.5*? Is it a tour van head? Looks like you might have hotmelted this one vs lead tape? The 906's are out of the bag, your lead tape job on those was truly exquisite You really should get embroidery on your golf
9.
I hear it's the longest but what's its weakness everyone hints at?
Every now and then I'll wake up in the middle of the night to find my SLDR has thrown crap all over the kitchen, rummaged through all of the cabinets and is chugging cough syrup while crying and screaming about how he really is the longest... I guess you could call that a weakness. In reality though, the SLDR just isn't as forgiving as most other offerings out there. If you're confident you can consistently make center contact and need to lower you

He hit the ball VERY high so stopping it really wasn't much of a problem for him, the ball would hit and release about two feet every time. The ball doesn't make you, that's for damn sure and If it h
11. T-Zoid True. Mostly for asthetic reasons honestly. I like the sharp lines and less rounded toe a whole lot more than the current designs.
12.
^^^^ Im still playing the older version. Got a bunch of those $15 blemish ones. Still have 3 doz left. I have not tried the 2014 version.
It plays almost identically to the 2013 regular FG tour, the cover is just a slightly different hue of white though. I played the 2013 and 2014 back to back for 18 holes and the difference between the two for irons/putting/chipping/driving was completely negligable(for me), if someone had switched the 2014 for my 2013 ball I probably wouldn't have been able to tell the differe

14. Well I just got back from the range after hitting the FCM Platinum for the first time(AKA Accra Tour Steel) VS the S400 and Tour Concept X100. Honestly if I had to describe the FCM Platinums in one word it would be smoooooth(yes, with five o's). They don't launch lower than the S400's, honestly they may launch a teeny bit higher but the peak flight is more level, definitely killled some spin especially on the mid/short irons. With the S400 if I really tried to get after a 7 iron it simply would not go over 180yds, it would balloon and fall straight down to earth...now with the high bend poi
