  1. Very interested in this thread. I play Ping iE1 irons but tried iBlades and hit the iBlade long irons better (and longer) than the iE1. I hit the iE1 long irons ok but shorter than I would expect and the yardage gaps bunch up in 6-5-4 irons. I hit the iE1 short irons extremely well though (7-gap). Considering trying a thinner sole iron set this season like T100s or similar. 107mph driver, 90mph 6-iron and 2hdcp for reference.
  2. I’m interested in the 2021 C130s. Looks like it now has full length pockets on both sides and removable straps. Has anyone seen it in person yet? Disappointed in the colorway options.
  3. I ordered i210 irons on May 14th and was told 15-20 business days. I also ordered G410 fairway woods and they said 12-15 business days on that order (separate orders). Fingers crossed.
  4. Ping G410 5-wood and 7-wood, 4-crossover, i210 irons, Glide 3.0 50 degree wedge, BagBoy Nitron cart and Adidas CodeCaos Primeblue shoes.
  5. 1.5 playing Ping iE1 with PX 6.0 but looking for new irons mainly for a shaft change. Thinking i210 with lighter shafts (XP95, DG 105 or even PX LZ).
  6. Does anyone know if this offer is available in Canada? It would be a nice bonus having just bought a SpeedZone Driver.
  7. I swing about the same speed as you with a medium/smooth transition. Typical miss is a hook. I tried most of the new drivers before settling on a SpeedZone 10.5 (heavy weight in back) and Rogue Silver 60 Stiff shaft. Next best for me was PING G410 LST. The SIM driver was consistently longer but less consistent and any configuration I tested.
  8. I’m interested in topic as well. I’m looking for the same thing (for a push cart) and I’m leaning towards the Sun Mountain C130s even though it is a 14 way. It has a good putter well at least. I also like the SM 5.5 and Titleist Hybrid 5.
  9. I don't have much success hitting my wife's driver or Fairway woods but I did hit her irons one day at the range and was able to hit them high, low, fade, draw and straight at the target. They have 55gr graphite shafts. That's actually what got me thinking about changing my irons this off season. I've tested lightweight steel in both regular and stiff flex and leaning towards DG XP95 S300. I also tested graphite from 70-125gr but all in regular flex. I liked all the sub 100gr shafts (Steelfibre and ACCRA) and really disliked the heavier samples. The fitter didn't have any of the lighter graphi
  10. I experienced something similar a few years ago. I swing the driver 108ish (160ish ball speed) with a very smooth transition and 2 Hdcp. I’ve alternated between S and X flex shafts and always played with Low/Low style shafts in the 60-70 gram range. On travel I used rental clubs with a 2016 M2 driver with Fujikura Pro 50 regular flex shaft. I hit this driver better than any driver I’ve ever owned. My typical driver shape is draw or hook and hiring a cut is nearly impossible but with the light weight setup I hit the ball a lot straighter and able to hit fades when needed. The set had matchin
  11. I added a Taylormade M5 (9*) to replace a ‘16 M2 (10.5) but kept the same shaft PX Hazrdus Yellow 6.0. Great driver so far.
  12. This thing has at least temporarily turned my driving game around. Hazrdus Yellow 6.0 shaft in STD setting.
  13. I switched from r7tp to Ping i20 a number of years ago, then eventually iE1. I feel like my iron play improved even though I play less golf now. I would recommend something from the Ping i line.
  14. I have iE1 uw and a glide 56ws and I would say it is the most similar. Maybe a Cleveland CBX too? I also have a Vokey K grind but I wouldn’t call that the same other than it is a wide sole.
  15. I’m curious to know what people are using. I have several years of scores saved in GolfShot with Fairways hit, GIRs, # of putts etc... but that level of data is almost useless in helping find strengths and weaknesses. I’m considering MyRoundPro or Arccos 360 or maybe Shot By Shot or GRGS.
  16. I’ve hit the 18’ x-Forged a number of times now in the sims at the local golf shops. For me they beat out everything I compared them against (900 tour, mp18sc/mmc, 718 ap2, iBlade, apex Pro). Today I compared them to my current irons, Ping i, and the XF were about 3-5 yds longer with a lower launch and slightly lower spin. Same project x 6.0 shaft. Much better feel with the XF. I’m just concerned about switching to a club with drastically different/thinner sole.
  17. I posted this in another thread but probably belongs in here. I'm trying to decide between these two irons and really like the x-forged except I'm worried the long irons will be hard to hit. This photo is an ap2 and x-forged 5-iron comparison. ap2 has a considerably larger sole. I hit the x-forged 5-iron and it was somewhat demanding... i haven't hit any of the the 718 ap2 long irons yet.
  18. I'm considering a set of 2018 x-Forged but worried the long irons will be hard to hit. I'm coming from Ping Ei1. I'm also considering 718 ap2. I compared the soles of the 5 irons and the ap2 are significantly wider. Has anyone compared them and have any thoughts forgiveness in the long irons?
  19. Does it require a collared ferrule?
  20. I got to hit my new G LS 9* with Tour 65 stiff indoors on Flightscope yesterday. I ordered at 44.5 and D2 and when we measured it it turned out to be 44.75 and D5. I still have a G LS 10.5* loaner so I hit that for comparison with the same shaft in it. I’m attaching my results from the session. It’s interesting to see the changes the + and ++ settings make on the launch angle, height, descent angle, and spin. Ball speed is a little higher in the neutral settling because I hit a few balls at 110% just to see. I managed to get 164.4 ball speed which is a couple mph higher than anything I’ve hit
  21. I'm picking up my PING i irons 3-uw with px 6.0 on Thursday. I'm replacing i20 irons with CFS-X and prior to that I had R7 TP with x100. I ordered the new irons without having hit the PX shafts in them so I'm hoping for the best. There seems to be mixed reviews on the PX option on this forum. I'm hoping they play similar but a little softer than the CFS-X (and especially the x100).
  22. I ordered a G LS Tec from TGW on the March 1st, a lefty 9* with the Tour 65 stiff. I don't anticipate receiving mine until at least the end of the month. From past experience Ping isn't that fast for "custom" orders. The Tour 65 is their proprietary shaft and it's custom? I don't get it. I see you got yours recently. Congrats!!! Golftown just called to say my G LS 9* w/Tour 65s @ 44.5, D2 was ready to pick up. I ordered it 12 days ago. Not bad.
  23. The demo G LS at my local golf shop produces significantly better numbers than all other clubs I tested including the standard G with the same shaft (swapped between the two) and my current gamer i25. I almost feel like it is a 'magic' club for me but it isn't for sale. Hopefully the G LS I ordered performs as well as that demo. They didn't have any in stock or I would have hit the available stock to make sure.
  24. I really like the look of the i25 including the racking stripes. I didn't like the look of the g25, didn't mind the g30 but think the new G looks great. The shape is just rounded enough and the dragon fly and turbulators seem to disappear after a few swings with it. It sounds loud indoors but not a showstopper and I'm hoping it isn't so loud sounding outdoors. If hotmelt helps with he sound I may consider that option if it becomes my gamer but sound isn't that big of a deal for me if the ball flight is good.
