  1. Agree with the Lawsonia suggestion. Great golf course and worth the trip.
  2. Rock Barn in Hickory and Balsam Preserve west of Asheville.
  3. Pine Needles membership is a good suggestion, since it now includes 3 courses.
  4. Now has something in common with Phil and John Daly.
  5. Greens were on the slow side as you would expect for bent this time of year. My disappointment was with some of the fairways. It look like they had top dressed them with sand. I have played Dormie many times and it has always been in great shape. By the time you go they should have the issues worked out. A lot of construction going on. A great track. You are playing some good courses. Pine Needles and Mid Pines should be in great shape. Agree with the poster's comment about playing Talamore if you have never played it. Enjoy your trip.
