  4. Just finished my first trip and understand why it’s so special now. We went Sunday to Sunday and I played: sunday: preserve / punchbowl monday: Bandon dunes Tuesday: pac dunes / trails wednesday: pac dunes / old mac thursday: Bandon dunes / old Mac Friday: sheep ranch / pac dunes Saturday: trails / sheep ranch Sunday: Bandon dunes 12 full rounds in 7 days. My legs are sore and my feet raw, but it was worth it. weather was absolutely amazing. We got really lucky. Was cold, windy, and drizzled a bit on Monday, but for the rest of the week it was just a bit chilly and sunny. On Sunday, before we left, it was cloudy and drizzled a bit. Nothing bad though. We definitely got lucky. we were a group of 14. The Covid restrictions were a bummer as there was no where for us to hang, drink, and watch the games. But the resort did a good job of to-go food. We ate a few meals at the tents at the gallery. None of the other restaurants had covering/tents, so it was a bit cold eating outside, but we managed. 7 of us took caddies every round and so I had a lot of interaction with many of them. Tyrone stood out as amazing. He’s been out there for 18 years, has great course knowledge and green reads, but he’s also a complete blast to play with. Carl was also amazing at green reads and lines off the tee, but otherwise kept quiet. Nelly, Michael, Davis, and Rich were all good and a lot of fun too. Tyrone and Carl could not be matched on the greens though. after playing them all, it’s so hard to pick a favorite they are all so good in their own right. I still haven’t chosen a favorite, but both OM and Trails keep getting consideration. SR was super fun to play, is an easier walk, and was liked by many in the group. Our 2 top players complained about the greens being too hard at SR but the rest of us didn’t mind. my favorite holes are OM 17, PD 4, BD 16 & 17, trails 11 & 14, SR 6 & 9.
  5. Was there Sunday to Sunday (March 28 - April 4). Trails and PD greens were running very fast. They sanded PD greens on Monday, but they were in great shape by the time we played our second round there on Wednesday. These 2 were the fastest. BD were recently aerated, but they were still rolling great and pretty darn quick. They had mostly healed already. OM greens were a bit shaggy but nothing to complain about. Ball rolled true. SR greens were in the worst condition. Had a few bald patches, etc. But no one in the group complained. All of the courses were in good condition. Ground felt softish at PD, BD, and Trails, but ball still rolled out well. SR is still hard everywhere. Was even difficult to get tees into the ground. overall, conditions were around 7.5/8 out of 10. Nothing anyone in our group of 14 complained about. But it was all of our first time out.
  6. Over the last week, I’ve read every post on this thread. Awesome stuff. Making my first trip this Sunday. Going Sunday to Sunday.
  7. I ordered on January 6th and still haven’t received a shipping notice. FYI
  8. I ordered mine a few days after they were available for pre-order and I just got a shipping notification. Giddy up.
  9. I’m currently gaming them on my CB301. I can’t compare them to the modus, but I get higher launch with them then my KBS Tour 90. Also, I normally play regular flex shafts (low swing speed), but I’m stiff in the Shimada Nine9. I find them very consistent for me.
  10. In terms of forgiveness, how do the Miura-US rank among themselves? the IC-601 are touted the most forgiving. what is the order of forgiveness for the others: Mc-501 Cb-301 tc-201 mb-101 baby blades thanks!
  11. Raveneaux is no longer exclusively private as it is now open to the public. They also sold the course to the city for a retention pond, so it’s on its death bed. champions is minutes away, but a little more costly. Champions has 2 great courses. It is set to host the upcoming LPGA Women’s open championship. Very golf oriented club. northgate is in the same vacinity.
  12. Sweet. Just ordered the NX7Pro. Thanks PPG.
