  1. I may just do that. Whats usually the cost on a set of irons to ship? Like $35 or so?
  2. Really? Well I have 4-PW so It would be a 7 club set. If its $165 or more I'd be happy with that. I just worry about shipping. I've never shipped clubs before. BTW, I ended up talking him down to $180 shipped! And I also got 8% back in Ebay bucks so I got another $14 back. $166 for the set I cant complain. Same KBS Stiff Tour Shafts that are on my Mizunos, along with the new grips.
  3. You would probably also like the I25's too I am guessing. I'd check their site on the Bay, they have some sets with make offer and you may be able to make a great deal that way. You can probably call them regarding sets they have listed and see what you can swing trade in and all. 25's are slightly more than I want to pay. But I found a very nice set of I20s I might just grab on Ebay, with all the specs I'm looking for and brand new grips for $190. Problem is I don't think I can just sell my irons to GG or CPO, it has to be a trade-in/store credit. Think I'd have any luck selling my irons on WRX?
  4. So I think I've decided between the I15s and the I20s. I took a few hits with each of them at my local shop. I like them both, but are the I20s worth the extra $70 that GG has them for?
  5. And these by no means have a thick sole or top line... perhaps mid so not blade like but not thick at all. I really think they are perfect for anyone looking for a GI iron. Btw. I totally disagree with the thought they are more SGI... that would be the regular EZ's not the forged. The more you explain what you are looking for OP, I think you should be looking at JPX EZ Forged (2016 version) AP1's (714, 716) G25 to G's (thicker all around but mighty forgiving) Srixon 545 (565's if affordable) Callaway XR Pro's, Apex Wilson D200's or V4's or 5's (V series is a little more demanding but not a lot really) They are all pretty solid clubs in their own right. Just my two cents. Thanks for the list Dpav. I'll keep looking through a few different sets but, I really didn't want to spend much more after I either sell mine or trade in. I can get $165-$175 for my set, and I'm hoping to find a decent set for $50 extra or less preferably. Just some stuff to look at of course. Hope you find a great set (no matter what it turns out to be) that fits the bill well for you! Thanks! Im going to keep looking. I may bring my clubs down to my local shop to see what he would give for them. I would really like to do everything local to see if I like the clubs I'm getting first but, he just seems a little pricey.

  7. I've been reading a little on the I15 irons. Everyone seems to be saying they're made for single digit golfers. I'm not a single digit handicapper. I shoot mid 40's pretty consistently right now so, I'm looking for something to help my game a little bit.
  8. I just gave them a call, and they say they can apply to a recent order and refund it in whatever form of payment that was used... So looks like I'm ordering some clubs tonight.
  9. But they wont pay back in cash, it's only store credit I believe. So If I were to buy my new clubs now & do the trade in, I'll be out the money while they put more credit into my account later. I'll have to call them and see what I can do.
  10. Global Golf I can get 4-PW I15s for $159.... :dntknw: hmm. You know, I'm looking for a decent cheap, forgiving set. Dont need anything fancy, as long as they are GI's, I can adjust. Plus I know the owner of my local shop and if I need any club adjustments, he'll do them for very cheap. For a full set of WINN Dri-Tacs Installed, Shafts cut -.50", and lie angles adjusted, he charged me $100. I may do this. I'm just worried about be club-less for awhile...
  11. Ok. A few sets I found that I have my eye on. But one in particular is a 5-PW set of I20s. Really nice shape, with brand new grips for $210 shipped. That seems like a decent deal no? Theres another set of 5-PW Speedblades for $225 in decent shape too but. I've always been a fan of Ping. And hitting those G25's today, and hearing everyones opinions on the "I" series, I feel comfortable in buying these.
  12. Had forgotten but yes you can still pick up a brand new set of the EZ Forged on EB for around 300 bucks delivered. Is that Ebay you're saying? Ordering clubs from Ebay sort of scares me but, I guess if theres a deal.
  13. I was looking at those too. My only worry with the GlobalGolf Trade In deal is the fact that it would be close to 3 weeks for me to get my credit for my clubs, and actually receive my new set. I don't have a spare set of irons and also, like Tex said, would if I don't like the new ones? And Global doesn't offer cash for trade ins, has to be store credit... I prefer callaway pre-owned over global. I bought a set in "very good" condition from global and the set didn't have matching serials and had a couple big dings in the soles of clubs. On the other hand, I bought a "good" iron set from callaway pre owned and the clubs were in excellent condition, with brand new Grips, heads amazing... etc. So in general, CPO underrates their clubs. And they also pay out the most for a trade in. With GGs bonus right now they are probably on par with what you would get from CPO... but I trust CPO way more from personal experience. And they offer a 12 month warranty, inspection, etc. I would wait for the Black Friday deals or similar and buy any set from them in "good" condition. It is nearing the end of the season so, I may just wait for a good deal somewhere, and maybe try to sell mine locally after I pick up a new set. Well see. I just golfed a round with a buddy who has a set of G25s. So every par 3 I used his irons. They felt great, and I hit them very well. I just pushed everything far right. Might have been because of the graphite regular flex shafts but, overall felt really good.

  15. Thanks guys. I'm just looking for a set thats a little easier to play than the 59s. Look isnt really a main concern but the offsets mentioned about the G series is slightly concerning. And I'm currently looking at the Speedblades and they look to have almost the same cavity and thickness of my 59s. So I'll just have to keep looking. Maybe I'll go back to my local shop and test some clubs out first.
