  1. Western NJ here, we do the same thing. Last winter we got lucky and only had courses closed for a few weeks with the small amount of snow we got. Hell, we lost more time for COVID shutdowns than we did for weather. If they don't shut down courses again and we have a somewhat mild winter again, I plan on playing straight through the winter again.
  2. My club had both of ours, though they were significantly delayed due to COVID. Usually one is in the middle of July and the other is in September. We normally have an awards dinner/party after both, neither of which were allowed to happen this year. The events were still fun, just very different
  3. I'm in Hunterdon County, never played Lake Mohawk but I was signed up for a NJSGA Mid-Am qualifier there that got cancelled due to Covid. Hopefully they have it there again next year so I can get out
  4. Had my first earlier during a twilight round back in June. Happened to just show up at my home course to play a few holes and saw a few guys I'm friendly with teeing off on the back 9 so I jumped in with them. My HIO landed in the middle of the green with spin and came down the slope all the way to the hole. It probably rolled about 15-ish yards once it was on the ground, so I think my only reaction was really "Did that really just go in?". 2 of the guys I was playing with were still in their cart and didn't even see it happen. I bought them a round of drinks, but since it was get
  5. Yep, you are 100% correct. The sole/bounce is for sure the biggest reason they didn't work for me. I'm sure they would be exceptional for certain swing-types, just not for me.
  6. Same exact shafts in both yes, and I got the lofts bent so they match exactly as well. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the forgiveness of the 921s, I would say theyre probably a hair less forgiving than the 785s but definitely not an unplayable amount. As for distance, the difference is really negligible for me. I could see the 921s being a touch shorter, but my striking has been a lot more pure so I think that’s covering up some of the difference
  7. Just want to toss in my opinion here. I played a set of z785s for just about this entire season (up until about 3 weeks ago) and I really liked them quite a bit, but also definitely did not love them. I ordered them direct from Srixon with the lofts weakened to match my previous set (46* PW, 4* gaps going down from there) so I didn't personally think they were way too long as others have stated. My main issue/concern was with the sole. It just flat out doesn't work for me as much as I tried to make it work. I played some really good golf with these clubs this year, probably some of

  9. Ordered mine on 9/18 and have been quoted with a 10/8 ship date. Going to be cutting it a little close to the end of the season
  10. I did something somewhat similar in my set. I went 6-PW standard, and GW 1 degree strong to 50* in the Tours and then I went with the forged for the 4 and 5 irons but adjusted them so they fit the same loft gapping of 4 degrees. I'm still waiting on mine from Mizuno, but I'm also interested to see what the difference in distance will be right at that transition point from Tour to Forged.
  11. That is good to know that they finally got it in decent shape. I live 10 minutes away and stopped playing it because it was in such bad shape. I had heard there was a new owner and they were doing some renovations, so it sounds like they had a positive impact.
  12. All items sold. Mods, please remove this topic. Thanks!
