  1. Had a longer practice session with the Mezz, in addition to rolling a ton of putts on my Perfect Practice and I am into this new putter. I still feel the same with regards to the technology - this thing just starts on the exact intended line. My 2.1 seemed heavier when I pulled the Mezz out of the box, but I think the balance is actually pretty close. There may be a slight different bc the 2.1 has the OG grip which is super heavy so more specific weighting was used on the 2.1 head to balance. Went with the Press 1.5 on the Mezz which is a lighter grip and so not as much intense weighting needed to balance. Lag puts were something that I wasn't bad at with the 2.1 but definitely was not as consistent with as I'd like. Rolled a bunch on a pretty undulated practice green at Angeles National near LA and had tap-ins. I don't know if it is the heavier weight to that putter (or feel like it's a heavier weight) but I always seemed to lack the consistency with the 1:1 stroke for distance. The Mezz definitely has better feel, again maybe placebo bc of the size, but it feels like my old Scotty Golo in terms of head control. The one thing I'm still torn on is the shaft. I went stock KBS, and can't help but think what I might be able to feel like if I swapped the LAGP from my 2.1 onto the Mezz. I really like that shaft on the 2.1 and feel like it could be seriously good on the Mezz. Might explore sending them in down the line. It also could be the tinkerer in me too.... All in all, I'm playing in a 2-day tournament this coming weekend at a course I've never played. The greens are tough, and right now with the Mezz, I'm feeling like I can really go after it. LAB has themselves a winner. The size of the 2.1 wasn't really an issue for me, if anything when people noticed it on the 1st green it allowed me to pitch them on the technology. Ego, vanity, or just doesn't fit the eye.. whatever the reason, the 2.1 size is an issue that people can't get over. But now they cannot have any gripes with the Mezz. This thing is compact, the feel is amazing, and the tech is the best in the game hands down.
  2. I went stock KBS shaft, but I am debating whether or not to see if I can send in my 2.1 and Mezz and have them swap the LAGP off my 2.1 and put it on my Mezz....
  3. just got my shipping notice, so hopefully able to roll a bunch this weekend. Will follow up with a comparison to my 2.1
  4. In your order confirmation on the site, they should have added the serial number into your order notes at the bottom.
  5. I'm not one to battle against the WRXitis of the BST but I will say that the lie angle balanced putters are definitely something that I feel should be given a bit of time. I think they really expose the issues in a persons putting stroke. I am truly a believer in the tech, and so I think maybe taking a look at alignment and body position and all that might help. When I sole the putter, I have the shaft about middle of my stance, maybe a hair forward. With the way the putter sets up, that means the ball is slightly forward of that. From there, I think the biggest issue with these putters is you no longer have to do those subtle corrections in a putting stroke to keep the ball on your line. With every other putter I've ever used there was an element of manipulation either with my hands, or stroke path etc that you would ingrain as muscle memory with a putter in order to get the ball on line and staying there. Just my 2 cents.
  6. 2. Did you join the newsletter? YES 3. Choose your shaft finish. BLACK MATTE 4. Why would you like to win the KBS Tour One Step Putter Shaft? HAVE BEEN GAMING THE LAGP PUTTER SHAFT IN MY DF2.1 AND AM INTERESTING IN TESTING OTHER BRANDS OF PUTTER SHAFTS AS THAT SEEMS TO BE THE NEW SPACE WHERE MANUFACTURERS ARE PUSHING TECHNOLOGY
  7. what serial number are you? I'm 139 so hoping mine goes out soon
  8. just checked mine. #139... hoping it ships out early next week or something
  9. 1. City, State? Pasadena, CA 2. Handicap? 10 3. How would the Apex Utility Wood fit into your bag? Would replace the hybrid in my bag 4. Why do you want to test the Callaway Apex Utility Wood? While I hit my hybrid pretty good, I much prefer the rounded look of a wood and I feel like the UW can give the type of performance I expect from my hybrid, albeit better, and still have the form that closely resembles a wood 5. Do you agree to take high quality photos, write an in-depth review, and be part of an on-going testing thread? Absolutely
  10. 1. City, State? Pasadena, CA 2. Handicap? 10 3. What is your current putter? LAB DF 2.1 4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter? Yep, it's my gamer! 5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter? I have the DF 2.1 and would love to test out the technology on a smaller model 6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? yes!!
