4. 78 with my just retired Mx-23's. 77 with new Ping I25's.
5. Just an update. Stopped by golf headquarters last thursday as I was coming home from taking my dog to the vet to see I what iron lines the carried. I had no intentions of buying anything because I was planning on going to Legacy in Norwalk based on recommendations for a fitting. I was helped by Craig and was very comfortable with him from the get go. I hit several models in the simulator (gc2) and liked the look and feel of the ping i25's the best. I went back the next morning for a fitting. 1 hour and 10 shafts later I purchased the 5-uw, blue dot with kbs tour stiff shafts. Craig mentioned the demo day in April if I wanted to wait to hit them off grass but I had previously played them as a rental set and was comfortable with the turf interaction. Also I will be leaving for Florida the day of the demo.
6. Have not used any of these wedges. Do know that eidolon and scor are the same company. The name eidolon was dropped in favor of scor. This is the same company that is making the new hogan brand irons.
7. Thank you for all of your input. Legacy looks very promising based on info off their website.
8. I will hit them up tomorrow. Only a couple of miles away. Thanks.
9. Looking for a good place in the Des Moines area to get fit for a new set of irons. Have not purchased a club since moving from Denver. Any positive or negative stories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

11.
No Titleist here, but bag is set for season as far as purchases go. I can look down at each club and can't think of anything I would rather have in my hand for that particular shot. I think I make the season without a club purchase...lol. The only battle left is the driver shootout between BC+ and SLDR 430. I can also move for a 3-5w set up to 4w 3 iron (my 3-4-5w match). And yeah, gonna be 70 here in Iowa today.
Not sure where you live in iowa but legacy in Norwalk is open today. Des Moines public open tomorrow.
12. Looking at ap1, mp 54. Do you notice a huge difference in forgiveness between the two? Would you say ap1 are significantly longer? These irons are on my short list along with g30, i25 and ap2. Run Ralphie Run!
13.
Just hit the ap1 6i at my local range. Dg s300. Man it's long. I was on trackman. Look didn't turn me off and felt surprisingly good for a cast head. Got very good numbers too.
14. I used the same dimensions you specified. Needed elbow, t and 45 degree (3 way) connectors. Bought a mat for winter use indoors and to not tear up my yard.
15. Looks good. Depending on how you attach net you might be able to get a smaller net so there is not a ton of slack. Good find on the net.
16. I bought my net at gourock.com. 10x10 net was roughly $110. I opted for the rope border on mine. I then built a frame using PVC pipe I found at Home Depot in the plumbing section. All in I spent around $140. Google homemade golf nets and a couple of videos will pop up. I ended up copying a design I found on dwquailgolf.com for the frame portion. The net is very durable. I bought a 4x4 mat from real feel golf mats as well. Pricy (350) but better than anything else I have used. Good luck.

Ping irons

For me the g30 are more forgiving than the i25. I have spent roughly 4 hours demoing them this winter. The i25 are forgiving for a players iron but will punish you more on miss hits than the g30. There are a ton of people on this forum who are playing the g series that are scratch and single digit handicaps. I plan on getting the g30 with the cfs shaft in stiff this week. Driver ss averages 106. I live in Des Moines, so I feel you on the snow and cold weather. My advice is to pick a set you have confidence in and to not second guess your decision.
18. I am a 10 handicap currently gaming mizuno mx-23 irons which a game improvement iron compared to your mp-60. I have demoed both the ap1 and g30 numerous times and found them to be more forgiving, longer than my gamers albeit with not has good of feel. My big miss is off the toe and these two irons definitely help in that regard. The g30 are bigger heel to toe, have more offset, more bounce and slightly stronger lofts in the long irons than the ap1. I looking at the set gap wedge in both sets (g30 pw=45, ap pw=44). I am able to hit draws/fades and flight the ball with either iron just fine if need be. With a third kid on the way and wanting to replace my mx-23's, I am looking to pull the trigger on either ping g30/i25 or titleist ap1/ap2. I feel I can't go wrong with one of these sets. If you can get over playing a chunkier club with noticeable offset, either club will be great IMO
