  1. After demoralising poor Nelly a few days ago they decided to give Jessica a go for 2 rounds .... Lydia might not be too popular with the Korda's come Saturday Seriously though Inbee is always a chance in any tournament she plays in and is my pick but I think keeping herself in position to be able to defend her Olympic title is more important than winning...should the Olympics go ahead.
  2. Congrats to Team Europe. Although this is really a non event for us here in N.Z I was rooting for Team Europe. I also want to applaud the BBC for their commercial free uninterupted coverage of every minute of the Cup which they supplied us through Sky Sports here. It's now up to the LPGA to make sure this is reciprocated for the Cup in 2021 but I very much doubt we will see this from the Golf Channel. I should say I did watch some of the Golf Channel coverge on a seperate computer at the same time and there was a noticeable delay from the live BBC coverage and you also missed a lot of the play

Then their is Callaway who supported her so well only to be dumped for the extra money PXG were offering. Womans golf in New Zealand has also suffered as a result of Lydia's demise as sponsors ran away and we have not had a Womans Open here since 2017 with 2020 only a posability. Lydia's connection to

Well at least it saved our Lydia from the honour! Perhaps she should have a talk to Juli Inkster who I admire for what she is doing for the game rather than taking up her rights. > > I just can't see Lydia ever making it back into the top level again at the moment not that I feel sorry for her after the way some of her caddies ha

  6. When is Laura Davies going to realise she is not competitive any more and relinquish her right to to play in favour of allowing someone else more deserving into the field? Perhaps they should be allowed to nominate a worthy substitute....she has missed the cut in every tournament so far this year...I can't remember the last time she won or was even in contention!
  7. They must use a ton of water on the course to get it looking so nice and green. If you saw some of the surrounding footage of the area it was completely dry and brown. Areas of Adelaide broke 80 year old records during a heatwave just 3 weeks ago with temps hitting mid 40's to almost 50C. Nice to be able to watch a full round of Lydia's but it was pretty up and down. We get another 5 hours live coverage today...so why only 3hrs on the GC? and as usual when the GC is not the producer it's completely uninterupted and commercial free!
  8. Yes this is part of the extra coverage Whan is gloating about for 2019. When is he going to stand up and hit the GC for it's pathetic commericial infected coverage! This will also be live, free to air, uninterupted and commercial free on Australia's national TV station ABC. "You can also catch the broadcast on your computer, tablet, smartphone and other devices through ABC's streaming platform iview" All this for a tournament that is not even a national open. If every other country in the world can do this why can't the USA? Even the commentators, like them or not, can do a continious commenta
  9. Perhaps then Whan should be investing in getting more coverage in the US than extra prizemoney for the elite players. I would like to see more of the other players than commercials and other players ouside the leaders would get better sponsorship with more air time. Not a problem getting 5+ hours of live commercial free coverage for most tournaments outside the US. I have talked to SKY my paid sports provider and they give us as much coverage as they can commercial free. Unlike other providers outside the US the GC stop commentry and feed during commercial breaks so Sky have to fill in untill
  10. I feel sorry for her caddy if he is just standing there and watching his commission dissapear...Lydia does not need the money. I was not going to bet yesterday she would put 4 good rounds together but equal worst score of the day....looks like the good old days are still gone. Got the usual poor commercial infected coverage from the GC despite old Whan gloating about all the extra coverage the LPGA will get this year... Yeah it will come from everywhere outside the US and not the GC....I can't believe you actually have to pay for the GC with that many commercials or is it very cheap there?
  11. Danielle must be a night owl; Asian time zones bring the best out her. I don't know for certain, but I have to assume that Danielle was in Korean during the International Crown just in case Michelle had to withdraw prior to the start of competition. She would have been the next player on the rankings list. If so, she's been in Asia for 3 weeks now. I wonder now what MW is thinking from her hospital bed after admitting to her injury but sill denied Danielle the IC spot. Congrats Danielle on the W after a good tournament last week...nice run home from Lydia but the consistency is still not
  12. 33 putts? No blow up holes, but six bogies. I wish the tour published scrambling stats. It would appear that she failed to get up and down on her 5 missed greens, and three putted at least one green (in reg). Danielle Kang could have a point to prove to the selectors of the IC USA team here. They would rather risk an injured MW? with no leadup form to Danielle with some average leadup form. Still MW has superstar status on the LPGA and would attract more attention! I guess there was never a chance MW would stand down for the sake of the teams chances.... We are getting 5 hours of continuous c
  13. In Bee Park current RR#1, Current Olympic Champion and last week won a KLPGA tournament. I think the Korean players must be so glad she played on the LPGA otherwise these other so called Korean stars of recent years would have mainly been just picking up the dregs of the prize money over there!
  14. The only people I have sympathy for is the volunteers. How come in professional sports, where the participants are playing for huge prize money and a lot are already multimillionaires, not be able to afford to fully fund a tournament including everyone who helps to run it? Some of those who missed a pay-out here are multimillionaires too!
  15. Lots more information is now available via their new format. It's interesting to see what points are awarded for the individual tournaments and all official tournament winners are now listed each week. I really like it its more interactive so you can analyse players performance. Be interested in others comments on what information you now find interesting or could/should be added. http://www.rolexrankings.com/
