  1. I just wanted to notify everyone that this user made an offer on two of my putters (a IBDD and a Mil Spec) for the starting bid price. I accepted the offer for the IBDD and he contacted me and said he would like me to mail to a different address than the one listed. Then he asked if I would purchased a $500 gift card for him and place it in the box since the putter was a “gift”. What really tipped me off was the “paypal” email. It was addressed from [email protected] It said once a picture of the Visa gift card was sent the “money” would be deposited into my account. I called both PayPal and was told there were no new transactions or any payments pending. i promptly called eBay to explain the situation and canceled the order due to address issues. I also blocked the user and recommend everyone do the same. I’m not sure if there will be any collateral damage but as of now no other adverse effects have occurred. I obviously declined his offer on the mil spec 33/350. They are both in excellent condition so the starting bid prices reflect what I believe them to be worth However, I was caught off guard by the quick offer for the starting bid price on both items from the same buyer. It sucks bc I really thought I had made a quick sale for my asking price but turned out to be a scam. I’m not sure if This was the correct place to post this message but I wanted to let everybody know about this
  2. Great article! So this is where I am getting a lot of hits. My misses however do seem slightly off the heal which I hate! Although in looking at the club it’s still in the sweet spot. Not sure if you can see the markings but that seems to be a pretty common hit for me.
  3. I’m only curious bc I only hit about 25 balls or so. 6 with 3 or 4 different shafts so it wasn’t an extended fitting session. I don’t have a problem with the shaft. I like it most days just curious if there was something out there that would get me some extra distance like everyone else lol. Thanks though.
  4. I purchased a Sim last year and was fit into a ProForce V2 7S5 or 7FS. It was between this shaft and a Fujikura Speeder Tour Spec 7.2 in an X flex I believe or might have been a Fujikura Pro Spec 2.0 x flex (it was white on the tip and dark towards the grip so I’m not exactly sure which one it was). So I was wondering what other shafts out there are comparable but might be a step up. I mostly hit fades with it which is ok but sometimes I like to let it loose and hit a draw. It’s great for ripping it which I like but is there something out there that might be an upgrade? I should also add I was fit during a demo day at my Dads club with people in line. Since I am not a member I was kind of rushed through the fitting so I’m not exactly sure they picked the right one. It could have al
  5. I have a couple of these putters. Gideon is out of Lima Ohio. He does his own in house Cnc milling and uses top of the line materials. $400,for this putter would be about right. I actually helped with the design on this one; carbon steel head, heavy flamed finish, and light face milling. A hand weld and most of his puffers are 35". If anyone would like more information please feel free to email me. A sweet stick and very comparable to John Byron or Scotty tour putters but without the price tag. Really a top of the line production. Whoever gifted this to you was very kind!!
  6. I actually posted more than what is written, but I will surely move it. Thanks.
  7. Hello all, Anyone out there with some older Cameron's in decent shape? Going to be a gamer for me. Don't mind spending some cash as long as it's worth it. If anyone has something I'm not mentioning or am omitting please let me know and I will add it to my search list but if anyone has it somewhere here does please let me know and we will work something out! Thanks guys!
  8. Hello all, Been on golfwrx for number of years and value the insight on this page. Just have couple of questions for you Scotty Cameron scholars: first, I have been searching for a Scottsman 941 or 942 for some time without any luck. I plan on gaming it, but are they even attainable or available and everyone I have seen is $900 which is fine, but are they wort that much or is there something out there that will be a good substitute? I would like something early Cameron. Don't care for the new stuff; all the pros play customs without the grooves or flash and sizzle. So this leads me to the next question... (2) another option I have been tossing around is a nice Mizuno Scotty. The problem is they aren't too easily found in legit condition. I don't know if some are even useful bc their condition is so rough. One option I have found would be an m300. What's the difference between the m-100, 200, and 300? I understand that the m-300 is a refined m-100, so is it worth the extra dough? I did find a m-300 in very nice original condition. I found it after an exhaustive search of golfwrx archives, forums, ect. And is an excellent nos or mint+ condition. I don't know much else about the putter but how would you compare the m-300 with a Scottsman 941/942? (3) any models I'm not thinking of that are comparable? What should I expect to pay for Scottsman 941, Scottsman 942, Mizuno m-300? (I should add this gentleman, also a member of Golfwrx who had the m-300 also has a m-400 in gamer condition. (4) Any ideas on what is a good number??) I would love or to have a Scottsman or something semi-rare, but I'm going to game it so and I'll have if the rest of my life, so is it worth the wait or am I wasting my time chasing the 941/942?? (5) any personal opinions on the Scottsman vs m-100 vs the m-300? Is it worth it? I had a 942 that was stolen a while back but I purchased it for $75 and I'm guessing person who made off with it did better than that. I could get Coronado but I don't mind spending some money if these options are truly better. The it's I play with won't know the difference or appreciate it lol but I can appreciate craftsmanship; so those of you with some experience, please share. I just don't want to be disappointed because there are no practice greens or demo day. I appreciate everyone who has contributed to making the site awesome. I love golf equipment talk and have a link in my phone directly to the classifieds. Amazing the cool stuff there. How in the heck does everyone get your rats like candy???? Truly remarkable!! Thanks!
