  1. That was my thought too. I was using impact tape and it felt like I was making good contact. Indoors, PGA Store, but not sure what kind of LM they use. There's your answer. Impact tape covers up the grooves and significantly takes spin off. Oh my gosh, I can't believe that didn't occur to me. Range ball too? Yep

  4. When I hit on a LM, my iron shots always tend to be lower spinning, say ~4500 with a 7 iron But today I was trying out a new shaft and I was a little surprised at the #'s. This was a G25 7 iron; 163 carry 184 total 84 clubhead 113 ball 15.8 launch .4 out/in 2350 spin Doesn't that seem crazy low?
  5. I hadn't thought of that, but it'd be an inexpensive experiment.
  6. Does anyone know if the Cobra weights are interchangeable between driver, fairway and hybrid? Not between models obviously, but as in putting an F6 driver weight into an F6 hybrid, etc
  7. Where can you buy Wishon shafts?
  8. I've been hitting a AD DI7 and Fuji Pro 73, and I like both but I want to try something heavier. I hit a guy's Fuji Pro 93 at the range and liked it. Problem is, I can't find much to try at golf shops, fitters, or even shaftshack.com. So I'm afraid I'm stuck just buying something. And I don't want to spend $300 just to try something different. Are there any less expensive options out there that might have a similar profile to the DI7 or Fuji Pro?
  9. I'm just finishing setting up a hitting bay at home Along with a mat and net, I've got a Skytrak and Point Grey USB 3.0 camera on the way. I'm just wondering what my options are for swing analysis software. I have a newish computer with a good video card to work with.
  10. I prefer the firm tip profiles. These are typically firm tip, firm butt and relatively softer in the middle. These feel easier to load and smoother in my opinion relative to a tip soft shaft like a whiteboard. A whiteboard has a soft tip?
  11. Hi Peanut19, Thanks for your question! All driver demo shafts are tipped 0.5" and cut to 45". The only exception is the Graphite Design GP shaft, which is not tipped at all, as this would defeat the purpose of its extremely stiff tip section. And, yes, all 3-wood demo shafts are tipped 1" and cut for a 43" final length. Best, Phil Just curious why you're tipping all the driver shafts?
  12. Out o' curiousity, what kind of deal did you get? I got everything for $100, so I was happy. I really wanted the shaft extractor and swingweight scale and the rest was kind of gravy.
  13. I'm planning to do at least one more driver fitting and looking for a couple of suggestions I hit a Tour AD DI and liked the feel but it launched a little too high. I also hit a Fuji Pro Tour Spec and really liked it. Looking for something 70+g and lower launching with a stiffer tip. I also like a heavier SW/heft, so counter balanced is out. Thanks!
