  1. The human mind fascinates me. We’ve every reason to believe Fowler is at least reasonably content and perhaps very happy with his life; he’s done quite well for himself by any fair measurement. However, we consistently judge others by our own standards. What we think is successful, what we think is a prudent usage of time and talent, what we think we would want for ourselves and what we believe we would do were we in a similar situation. Instead of seeing a guy who seems to get that life is more than wins, we criticize him for not winning. We question his work ethic or mental toughness with no
  2. I intend to get my father’s old Ping ISI-Ks restored. I’m aware LL Golf does great work and will probably go that route. I would like to know what is specifically unique to the Ping heads from that era, as LL Golf will only restore Ping heads from that specific time frame. There must be something or he would expand his business into other heads. I know from searching old threads it has something to do with chrome plating, or lack thereof. But what exactly is it? And are there any other older irons from other manufacturers which were made the same way and could theoretically be subjec
  3. What’s the history of these? I’m not a terrible googler and I can’t find anything.
  4. Welcome. Single length, like any other equipment option, isn't for everyone. A variable length set can work just as well (or better) if single isn't for you.
  5. Again, you started the personal attacks. Then you didn't like it when I dished it back your way. You decided to take it to a personal level and now you're not happy that you peed in the wind and your shoes got wet. You picked a verbal fight, you lost that fight, yet you want to continue to fight. So what do you do? You want to have a physical fight! You clearly don't make good decisions. As far as the real world, you need professional help from someone in the behavior health field. It's out there. They will truly do their best to help you. Seek it out. I said you were obnoxious and m
  6. I told him earlier on in the thread he should look at getting a boxed set for $150. He said it himself, his swing is terrible right now what is a set of X-14s going to give him that a set of modern Wilson/Tour Edge isn't? He has never had a lesson, and each swing feels different and gives him different results. How in the world is someone supposed to fit him apart from doing a static fitting? If he can't hit the middle of the club more than once or twice then what good is a shaft fitting going to do? You posted some really informative stuff earlier, but I do agree with Digs on this. Mo

  8. Phatchris, He took what you said, restated it, summarized it, and exaggerated it so as to attempt to make you sound foolish. He changed the context, then characterized it as drivel. Then he edited the post because it wasn't smug and snarky enough the first time.
  9. Good for you for cutting through the BS in this thread. Don't buy the Cobra's yet, here is what I would do. Go to the store with the helpful manager and ask him for a quick static measurement. That means they will measure your wrist to floor, take your height, and then use this as a guide to figure out if you need longer or shorter golf clubs, or if you are standard. From that, they can point you in the direction of something in your price point, hit a couple of shots with a few of the clubs that fit your eye. The ones that give you better shots more often are the ones you should get. As

  11. Again, Matthew, I'm not angry. That's something an antagonist says when he can't stay in the arena. It's not acceptable in any academic forum where debate is encouraged. You stated I'm young and foolish, without knowing anything about me. After I stated my age, you followed with a statement about working myself into a lather and stroking out. You and your partner enjoy antagonizing and attempting to sound smarter than you really are. It might get me thrown off the board, but so be it. I'm saying you're a gutless antagonist with no real power in life, so you try to get under the skin of people
  12. I'm not angry at all. That's a game guys like you and him play. Accusing someone of being angry who isn't. That's antagonism. I'm not stupid enough to fall for it or passive enough to not call you out on it. Now you're here to fight his battle for him. He's the one who wanted me to take this to the PM. I'm right here.
