1. Y grind 51* C grind 55* K grind 60* These with s400 tour issue shafts would be perfect. Thank you for the opportunity to win my dream wedge setup as mine need to be replaced.
 2.
No brainer. The fourteen's all the way. I own a set of TB 1000's (an older model) and they are flat out fantastic. I didn't even need another set of irons but HAD to buy them. Check out my post on them..... http://www.golfwrx.c...n#entry11082117
I wish it was that easy to go with Fourteen but Srixon has done an amazing job with these irons and judging by the reviews there seems to be a lot of happy people who play the z745's. Checked out your link on your Fourteen irons and I have to say they are beauties. How have you liked them so far? Are these your back ups or your gamers?
 3.
I hit both sets, imo you should also consider 888. The fh1000 are forgiving enough for blades, but still more demanding than the other sets. I loved both the srixons and 888, end up with the fourteens and love everything about them.
I have looked into the TC-888 irons and was also contemplating those but am unsure how they will perform (mix between muscle back and smaller cavity back iron)? Is this the set you went with? if so what are some pros/cons compared to the Srixon z745 irons? what did you not like about the Srixon irons that made you decide on Fourteen Golf irons?
 4.
The Srixons excelled for me in two areas. Length. They were longer. And not to beat a dead horse, the turf interaction. I know this is talked about alot and rightfully so. I also find the J15 cb's to be on the same level by the way. It really does glide through the turf. I guess after thinking about it, the 745's were really great on miss hits. I hit more shots than I care to admit thin. Definitely my fault. And the ball still went straight and long. The same can be said for toe shots. Personally, I would pick the Srixons. And if you still have the urge for blades, the Srixon 945's look very good.
I rarely hit thin shots but I find I am on the other end of the spectrum where I tend to hit more fat shots. Do you think the VT sole on the 745's would help me with this issue or is the VT sole just more of a marketing thing? Does it make that much of a difference vs. say the standard sole you would find on the Titleist 714's or Fourteen fh1000's? The extra distance would be nice as the Titleist MB's lofts are more traditional and I find I should be hitting them further than what I am hitting them.
 5.
I think they're evenly forgiving. FH1000's are a great club. I own Srixons, but it really comes down to preference. I'd prefer to have both. FH1000's fit into an odd dynamic. They're big for a "blade" so purists seem to be washy on them. You can't go wrong with either. But you need to hit both. I'll say this, you can buy the 745's unseen and they'll perform. I think you need to hit the FH1000's before considering
I have also heard that the the Fh1000's are super forgiving which seems weird as forgiving and blades are generally not mentioned in the same sentence lol. What made you choose the Srixon irons? what other irons were you looking at before deciding on Srixon? I have heard that the Fh1000s with their larger profile play like a cavity back (forgiveness on par with most CB's). If you have hit the Fh1000's do you find this to be true? If i could afford both then I would not have to worry about picking one lol. They both do look solid just having a hard time deciding between the two as I have searched Google/WRX forums for comparisons (didn't find much) and reviews (very few on Fourteen golf but more on Srixon). I would love to hit both but unfortunately my LGS's do not carry either brand. So I will have to base my decision on reviews and the opinions of others who have tried them. What do you feel are the biggest differences between the two are (Srixon z745's and Fh1000's)?
 6.
Both are great irons but are different. Since you are playing 714 mb's, my question to you is why? I am sure you tested them against the 714 cb's or Ap2's before you decided on the MB's. I had the 714 mb's and Srixon 745's. They really are not close to each other. And what I have read on the Fourteen's, I don't think they would be close as well. So, let's have a little more information about your game. Are you a digger? High ball hitter? Swing speed? Where do you feel you need help? What type of car do you drive? That's right, it will play into this. Speedy sports car, not practical but fun to drive = blades. Honda Accord, dependable car, not worried about break downs, great gas mileage = cb's. Think about it..... Lol I will throw this at you just to add to your decision. I had the Bridgestone J15 mb's and thought they were better than the 714 mb's. Feel, forgiveness and turf interaction. I would think the Fourteen's would be more like the Bridgestones. Within the Bridgestone test program, you might be able to tell if you like another blade. The 714's has a different feel and sound that really wouldn't be considered soft like the Bridgestones or Fourteens but a solid feel that is addictive and one that I preferred.
A couple years ago I tested the Titleist 714 CB and the 714 MB at my local Golf Town. Decided on the 714 MB because I liked the thin sole, minimal offset and the forgiveness was pretty similar between the two. Before my Titleist 714 MB's I had a set of Mizuno MP 68's which I really liked. During my time using the MP 68's I quickly grew to like the look of a more compact head with a thin top line. As for my game I am a digger. My iron game is my strong suit compared to driving, putting etc. and I tend to take shallow dollar size divots. I can hit blades no problem but I tend to run into problems with consistent distance control. For example my five iron goes about 205 most of the time but at least a couple of times in a round it will only go about 190 and end up short of the green. Other times I will hit my irons very solid but miss the green by 5 feet left or right. My misses are usually left or right of the green while I may have 2-3 shots a round ending up just short of the green (not drastic misses but would definitely like to hit more greens) . Rarely do I ever hit any shots over the green. Swing Speed: 5 iron - 108 mph (definitely over 100 might be a little higher or lower haven't checked in a while) Trajectory: Mid - low ( don't hit high ballooning shots more mid piercing trajectory) Shot shape: straight or draw (might even play a fade if I need too) Car - Mitsubishi Eclipse (standard of course lol) I agree that Titleist MB's have a different feel and sound (a lot more clicker and solid feeling at impact rather than the soft buttery feel like Mizuno's or z745's). I have never hit Bridgestone irons so I cannot comment on them. Since you have used both the 714 MB's and the Srixon z745's my question would be is there anything the Srixon irons excelled at vs. the Titleist 714's? Would they be worth upgrading to? What were some pros/cons between the two or do they play similar?
 7. Hi guys I am a new member and need some advice on a new set of irons. I have played the Titleist 714 MB for the last couple of years and think it's time for something new. I have read many posts on this site about the Srixon z745 irons and how they are amazing. I was about to buy a set of the z745's until I stumbled upon Fourteen Golf's FH1000 MB irons and now I am unsure which ones to go with. If you have any experience with either or both of these irons I would like to know what your thoughts are as I am not sure which would be best for me. Also, I have heard good things about Fourteen Golf's irons but cannot seem to find many reviews on them. Also, I do understand that the z745's are a players cavity back and the Fourteen fh1000's are a MB iron. Therefore If I do go with the fh1000's I will likely get a more forgiving cavity back iron in the 4 and 5 iron.
