  1. Sorry, I was not being smart, just thought you were unaware of the designation. I was actually unaware that he (Scotty Cameron) has GSS trademarked; I always thought that was just a myth and still find it hard to believe that such a generic term could be trademarked. I think he would have trouble defending it legally as it is just an abbreviation I agree about the whole GSS being super soft and special thing is just so much gobs****. Last time I checked on the Brinell scale it was actually harder than regular 303 or 304 IIRC. I also don't know why so many people equate a soft feel w
  2. Ah yes, my maths. Anyway 2/3 of people don't know what a fraction is - and the other half don't care! Boom tish. :-) Rob
  3. Always a relief to hear from a fellow Putter Ho! :-) Rob
  4. I could measure them, but every time I give the old Bettinardi BC1's a run, they strike me as seeming longer from heel to toe. :-) Rob
  5. I still can't go past my Ping G400Max either. I am a 60 year old hack off 13 but with a Hazardus smoke 6.0 at 45", I love this thing. :-)
  6. Oh man, I wish I had a copy. It's the promotional equivalent of dragging your balls through the custard at a christening! :-))) Rob

  8. It was an epic thread - an I own a bunch of Camerons. I just think it was a bit personal when JR started calling Nick P a jumper folder etc. there were a lot of laughs to be had by the many indignant posts there. Surprised it was up for what - 8 or 9 years? :-) Rob

  12. Hello Terry, My concern is chiefly for My Doug also mate. I will contact Geo and Reflog again and see if they have heard anything. PM me when you have the new address set up buddy. :-) Rob
  13. Agree with you - as always Sam. When I first found PT I was worried I would be frowned upon for the modest Cameron collection I have amongst other makers, but nothing could have been further from the truth. I loved PT for all the reasons you have stated. I am a member of TCC and have a few friends on there but NOTHING like the camaraderie I experienced on PT. :-) Rob
  14. Hello Mate! Hopefully next time you are here, there won't be a Zombie Apocalypse and there is a spare rooms for you and home cooked meals from the beautiful Tash who is a chef! :-) Rob
  15. Hi Bud! Next time you are here, hopefully it will not be a Zombie Apocalypse and there is a spare room and home cooked meals from the beautiful Tash! :-) Rob
  16. Hello mate, I have been seeing a lot more of Kari and Byron on Facebook. It's not a bad place if you keep it manageable. I am a Stand Up Comic and until a few months ago had about 4000 'friends' about 3 of which actually were. (And that was entirely my fault, just kept accepting reqests when I was on there, which wasn't often). A while ago I spent 3 days and RSI of the index finger de-friending people (man, that feels great, I'm getting all flustered just writing the word!) :-) and got it back to the few hundred friends and family I know and it is a LOT better and I have actually spent more
  17. Mr Doug relaunched the site maybe 6 months ago with great enthusiasm. I don't know what happened obviously; maybe the response was not as good as expected but I guess he woke up one morning and hit the F*** it button for whatever reason. I miss the conversations and knowledge to be had there which is why I started this thread. :-) Rob
  18. I see some people have mentioned Byron DH89's and Kari's DD201's - where you getting them NEW for $500.00??? Ha ha :-) Rob
  19. Yep, they are the ones. The original 350g / 33” Newports in Back Oxide and Oil Can started life in the USA intended for female golfers ? Rob
  20. I miss a lot of the guys; I still get emails from some but if anyone from PT wishes to stay in touch, please send me a Personal Message and I will collate everyone's email and send a group message at some stage in the future. I don't think this contravenes any rules here. :-) Rob
