Was he toiling as a relative no name instructor since his mid 30s until the last few years until his IG sort of went viral and it's been crazy since then? > > Or, did he just become an instructor 7 years ago or so? I read this article last year and it gives a little bit of background. Sound like he played some mini-tours in the late 90s, then bounced around as an instructor in the early and mid 2000s. Started teaching at Westlake in 2006 and that's when his career as an instructor started to escalate. 4. Apparently not his first issue. "Golf Digest also reported that this was not the first time that Bilardello has been caught up in controversy. He was suspended last month from the Minor League Golf Tour for detrimental conduct." 5. I find this pretty appalling, especially for a professional caddie on the PGA tour. Mainly due to the disrespect I feel he showed to his playing partners. I'd like to hear the reasoning. It does appear the course played very difficult as the 3 qualifiers only shot 1 under. Maybe he considered it clown golf and decided to play like a clown. I'm not sure what typical scores are for these events but would figure a little lower than that. 6. If the course is wet, I'll play an e6 soft instead of my stash of Tour B330 or ProV1. I really only notice a big difference in overall feel and shots around the green.
  7. For public courses I would go with Darby Creek, Northstar, Bent Tree, or Golf Club of Dublin. In that order for me personally. But I would actually recommend stretching out your drive time and heading east about an hour to Virtues. It is consistently rated as one of the best, if not the best, public course in Ohio.

Apparently dealing with semantics here and I will resend my statement that said rules as it should have been termed recommendations, my bad, but that still does not contradict anything. Sorry, there is no point made. I did not quote you in my original post as it was not directed at you. It was in reference to the author of the article.

I edited my post to more clearly show the 5 instances where the USGA recommends that a hole in one be valid. His #5 contradicts with USGA (d), albeit with a clarification. His #7 contradicts with USGA (e). I guess my use of several was a little liberal but the point is valid.
  10. It's funny that he brings up the USGA and then directly contradicts their recommendations on several points. My only hole in one came during a 2-man scramble. I'm absolutely counting it. "Rule Misc. Validity of Hole in One Q. What constitutes the validity of a hole in one? A. The Rules of Golf do not address the issue of the validity of a hole-in-one. It is up to the Committee to determine whether a hole-in-one is valid. The USGA recommends that a hole-in-one be considered valid: a. If made during a round of at least nine holes, except that a hole-in-one made during a match should be acceptable even if the match ends before the stipulated round is completed. b. If the player is playing one ball; a hole-in-one made in a practice round in which the player is playing two or more balls should not be acceptable. c. If attested by someone acceptable to the Committee. d. If made at a hole with a temporary tee and/or putting green in use, even if the Committee did not specifically define the teeing ground with tee-markers; the length of the hole at the time should be stated on any certificate. e. If made in a "scramble" competition, which is played as follows: A side comprises four players. Each member of a side plays from the teeing ground, the best drive is selected, each member plays a second shot from where the best drive is located, and so on."
  11. You each buy the other driver from each other via PayPal. Only downside is you are out the fee but it will give you each protection.
  12. Did you hit the refresh button in the top right after you posted the score? I always have to do this after posting a score to see my new trend.
  13. > @agolf1 said: > Congrats! Were these two in the same 18? I.e. 35-44 = 79? I really hope if it was the same round it was a 44-35. I personally hate when I fall apart after a great front 9. Well done on reaching your goal regardless OP.
