  1. I did a fit with someone several weeks back where it was between those two, looking at 50, 54 and 60 degrees. Overall, both performed very well. We saw spin a couple hundred RPM higher with the T22 on average, but standard deviation of spin was much tighter on the ZipCore. The T22 54 deg. flew on average 8 yards further than the ZipCore and maybe 1 in 4 was a hot one, so more difficult to get a consistent carry distances. The ZipCore's were consistently within ~2-3 yards of each other, good spin and launch, and the guy much preferred the feel of them over the Mizuno. He walked out with the 50 mid, 54 mid and 60 full face.
  2. What stamp size is typically used? 3/32", 1/8", etc?
  3. Preferably Slate, but not locked in to that.
  4. Ping bag, Titleist (probably) ball, Puma clothes and Addidas shoes
  5. I just ordered some PP58's from DSG. Only place I could find them reasonably priced, as I try to avoid Ebay whenever possible.
  6. Planning a trip down mid-March, playing 4 days at Celebration, Southern Dunes and both OCN courses. Playing days will be Wednesday through Saturday. Any of those courses I should avoid on a Saturday anticipating slow play?
  7. I've had the good fortune this year to try different heads and shafts, and a lot of tinkering so I think I can comfortably say I'm set for a while. Driver: Ping G425 10.5 w/ Aldila Rogue 130/70S Fairway: Ping G425 5W w/ Graphite Design AD DI 7S Hybrid: Ping G425 4H w/ Ping Tour 85R Irons: Ping i59 5-W w/ Modus Tour 105S Wedges: Ping Glide Forged Pro 50° w/ Modus Tour 105S, 54° & 58° w/ DG S400 TI, & Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 60° w/ S400 Putter: Ping 2021 Anser w/ KBS CT Tour
  8. I used to really enjoy watching full-on resto/custom car shows with a seemingly unlimited budget...until there were 7 of the exact same show with a different name and it was more about the "image" and scripted bs. I now stick to Mighty Car Mods, Dirt Every Day, Hot Rod Garage, Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, and Faster with Finnegan.
  9. So sorry for your loss. When you love dogs so much, it doesn't stop you from starting over again knowing full well you're going to be heart broken. The wife and I got our pup Daisy just over 3 months ago to fill the void after we had to put our previous of 13 years down in Feb 2020. Both are/were pretty amazing, but when the time comes for Daisy it will be unthinkable. For however long they're in your life, they make a long lasting impression. Keep your head up and when you're ready there will be a pup our there waiting to join your family.
  10. I don't think they're unpopular, nor are they popular. Flying under the radar. The price also turns some off I'm sure, but there are now a number of offerings that are in the $200 range - MG3 (TW), SM8 slate blue, etc. Some people will refuse to drop that kind of money on a Ping wedge, but gladly on another brand. To each their own.
  11. Glad to hear you're happy with them. I've had mine in the bag for 3 seasons and they always beat out experiments/long-term tests with G425, Cobra Forged Tec OL, and Mizuno 921 SEL. They're just so good. I thought about selling them when my i59's came in, and no doubt they would have gone quickly given the wait times for some people, but I just can't do it.
  12. I have them in 50, 54 & 58 degrees all in the SS grind. I thought the ZZ115 shafts would be a good fit with the Modus 105's in my irons, but the stock shafts felt dull and boardy. A couple weeks ago I reshafted the 50 to match my irons with the 105S, and put the S400 in the 54 and 58...all playing at 35.5". The feel is now very much in line with what Mookie said above. A soft clicky-ish feel which I very much enjoy. Ping wedges get a lot of crap for their rounded shape but I love the look compared to a very square leading edge. Gives me a bit of confidence on short chips and pitches from a tight lie. Size wise they don't seem to dissimilar from the Cleveland Zipcore and aren't unsettling behind the ball. The sand and lob actually feel very similar to the Zipcore now with the S400 which is another plus. I only got to play 2 or 3 rounds with the before the season was done, but overall very happy with them.
  13. I've got to somewhat echo a few others above in that I truly think my current bag is my dream bag except for the putter - either a fully custom Ping PLD or Bettinardi. Working at a golf shop this year has given me great access and insight to different heads and shafts that I otherwise wouldn't have had.
  14. I did a side by side with the Modus 105 and Elevate 95 before I reshafted my i210's as well as trying them in the i59's. Feel and distance for me were very similar, however the Elevate did exactly that. And to further echo JDennis above, the Elevate had a wider lateral dispersion. Modus were the choice for me.
  15. We've also all seen the opposite side of YT reviews and real life. Overwhelmingly positive reviews for whatever and when put in the hands of regular people they're underwhelming. Unfortunately the nature of things now.
  16. I gained a couple more mph on average with the i59. Average with my i210 7i is about 106 while the i59 has been been 108. Even popped a couple over 110...Probably some the most atypical WRX numbers out there.
  17. I've used a pipe cutter in the past but all it really did was squish the shaft and make it even more difficult to get a clean cut. Used a portaband once - quick but it squealed on the thin wall of shafts. The last iron set I reshafted I used an angle grinder - quick and clean. At some point I'll upgrade to a golf works cutting/sanding station.
  18. Played 18 on Foresight yesterday and 18 on course today. Really an excellent set of irons. Forgiveness is often surprising, looks and feel are really great. I've never had a 5 iron that's so simple to hit consistently, so much so that I'm toying with ordering the 4i. My season is just about over so I can use the winter to figure out distances and possible lie adjustments. Could not be happier with these irons.
  19. As a fellow lefty I'm interested to see what options are available for you. Oh and take as many pictures as you can!
  20. Have the SpiderX...been trying to sell it for months. But to answer your question, also neither.
  21. Did you order them blindly?
  22. I use both 34" and 35" and grip down on the 35". When one misbehaves I switch and don't really notice any difference.
  23. Mine are in town waiting at a FedEx warehouse. So close!
  24. Mine are built and boxed ready to go. Now we [all] wait for the adjusted release date.
