  1. Sorry, the photos didn’t show for some reason. I just updated and they should be visible.
  2. X Forged might be a good option. Pretty forgiving considering the overall size. The blade length is a bit larger than blades, but look great. I have the 2018 version and I think in 2020 they refunded the wedges to be smaller. the other one might be the Srixon zx7. That’s a little more compact for blade length, like the p770 or mc.
  3. Most likely the same. I think this was always pretty much a feature reserved for the tour (without fact checking myself). It’s not outrageously pronounced. The first image probably shows it the best. Subtle but works.
  4. No idea what that means, but the tri sole is for address setup. A flat part in the middle of the sole and the two edges bevel up slightly. Sorry if that was a joke that just sailed way over my head.
  5. [sold] Bettinardi ss17 with Trisole and true roll. $650 shipped to US. [sold] SIM Max D 3 wood with Ventus Red Velocore $325 shipped to US. - 43" - Spine aligned install - Golf Pride 360 Arccos grip. pin 1/6
  6. Amen! Same here. Sometimes it’s just not worth it. Also, on a somewhat related note. After I ditched the fairway, a friend made my foursome play a round with 1 club. And it’s crazy that scores aren’t all that different. That kind of validated the decision in a way, because I learned that there’s value to getting around the course. And any regular shot is better than a chunk or slice into the water.
  7. They’ll have two versions, I didn’t get details but one will be more for players and one not. I just really wish I knew how players and how game improvement. I’d be down for a regular version and a version even slightly larger than the current sim, but I doubt it.
  8. Did you find the forged felt better than the regular D7? For some reason I was into the feel of the regular one more.
  9. 3 hybrid works great, especially if you’re confident in your driver. For me there are very few holes that require the distance of a 3 wood specifically driver or hybrid get it done. I tried to carry a driver, fairway, hybrid but there wasn’t a need for all three. Tight dog legs are more 3 hybrid or 5 iron length for me.... not to mention that I buried the lead, I can’t hit a fairway off the turf to save my life
  10. Always around/ after the PGA show which is late Jan.
  11. Where did you find them for $20? I’m in at that price!
  12. I emailed them the other day and they said they don’t have plans for a red one. Based on that and my convo with a taylormade rep, it sounds solidified. So I’m guessing there would have to be some intense demand for it in the future for them to start working on one.
  13. I love the feel of the Red Ventus (velocore) in my fairway. I tested the Sim hybrid last night with the Blue Ventus hybrid (TM stock version) and it’s not close to the same feel. Boy does the Sim head launch!! But the feel of the blue shaft in the hybrid is much harder to get to kick compared to the red in the fairway. The red fairway was much smoother for my swing as it just gradually get weaker as the shaft goes on, according to the website. I even tried the regular flex blue hybrid too, which was easier to fling through, but the only kick I felt is the tip and that can b
  14. I saw on THP’s IG this morning that ping irons were already out overseas but not in the US. I’m assuming that may have just been in reference to the g425 irons that we’ve already seen, and not the i210 or iblade replacement. I figured I’d consult the experts and see if I missed anything.
  15. City, State? Los Angeles, CA Handicap? 10 Current hybrid/utility iron head? X forged UT Current hybrid/utility iron shaft? Recoil 780 S (it’s a little light and flexy) What flex Nippon Modus3 Hybrid GOST shaft do you want to test? Tour S (to match my 105 tour S in irons) Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and high quality photos? Yes, I will post step by step if needed.
  16. Agreed. The X forged are the best feeling irons and the satin is dope. I’m looking to keep mine and blend in the MB in PW and 9 iron. For some reason the x forged feel a little hot there, which is weird because it’s supposed to be a one piece forging, I thought. I wish callaway was better at making blending sets though. The last Apex MB was bright chrome with the X forged being the brushed satin.
  17. I’m all for this. For a lot of the lower-mid handicappers the game improvement irons go to far and the players irons are too small. No company really hits on a truly progressive set with distance consistency.
  18. It’s interesting because Ping says 210s are softer, and most people here are also echoing that, but I had the 200s and was really excited to get fit into the 210s then was incredibly turned off by the feel of the 210s. The minor aesthetic changes (smaller appearance) didn’t bother me but the feel change really got me.
  19. Yeah, it’s a weird psychological issue that I All us wrxers have. I love the Chrome Soft and if I never read the internet I would be blissfully happy with my current boxes of balls. But here I am trying to get rid of them and make room for the new ones because of QC. Even though in personal experience these balls have been very consistent.
  20. I tested the Mizuno Tour X ball against the Zstar the other day. I LOVED the Mizuno off the irons because I’m pretty low spin naturally, and these spun a lot for me on the irons and felt soft..... but unfortunately it also spun more on the driver and became really noticeable when my left to right miss started missing even farther. The Srixon would move left to right also, but the Mizuno would move a little more. I may keep the Mizuno sleeve in my bag and use them on some par 3’s.
  21. For what it’s worth, here is how I test. It’s a little bit of process of elimination, but I think the best way to test. It’s important to do in this order too. Step 1 - a. Putting feel/roll - take a few balls that you want to test to the putting green. Judge on feel and roll b. Chipping reaction - See which balls react the way you need them to when chipping. of the balls that perform the way you want with putting and chipping, take those on to step 2. Step 2 Problem shots/ clubs- are you a low flight low spin, high spin etc. which clubs do you need help with? pick your 1-3 problem sho
  22. Yes, in the golf channel video. They don’t have one specifically for driver or fairway or wedge, but through the iron shaft optimizer it will suggest shafts for woods that usually are paired with the iron shafts that you’re fit into.
  23. Very interested in why you would swap from the i210. Currently playing the g400s and so disappointed of the look that I was thinking about the i210. The downside is that Im still hitting inconsistently all over the face and I am sure that I will be punished a lot from the upgrade.. but man, they look so ugly that I struggle to see them in my bag.. Dont want to speak on behalf of the other poster but I game the i210 but am starting the realize why wouldnt you take more forgiveness in any club if your swing warrants it. If the offset isnt crazy and the top line looks nice I may make the switch
  24. Modus 105 in irons, 115 wedge shaft in wedges....made the switch from PX 5.5 and steel fibers...have not changed in 2 seasons. There must be something to that. I was fitting into the exact same shafts. I play the 115 stiff wedge in my sm6’s and the 105 stiff from 5-pw, and the GD hybrid in my 4 hybrid. I’ve tried other shafts but the feel is always the best with this setup.
