  1. Are you a high spin player? I picked up 7 dozen rzn blacks with a killer deal .... how do they compare with the 2015 rzn black? I do spin the ball, but not much higher than an average rating. That is why I think the blacks do extremely well with me. They essentially bring me down to the best spin rates. Not joke I have never hit a better baby draw and pure straight drives before. This ball really works for me. The only tough part is around the greens. I sacrifice this because i am usually hitting 8 irons instead of 7's or 5's instead of 4's. It really does make a difference. Now as far as last years model. Honestly, comparing them to this years is like apples and oranges. I actually mistakenly took out a rzn black 2015 model for the back nine. Immediately the driver felt dead, the iron shots felt heavy and the spin was nonexistent. The cover also feels like crap. Just a hands down better preforming and damnit, just a better ball period. So kudos to you for picking up 7 dozen. I will be picking up close to 20 when they drop below $28 a dzn.
  2. I played a full round with both balls. First time I went out I played with the Platinum. Fine ball, durability it was really stood out. Keep the ball in play and the cover holds up extremely well. I did strike a tree branch, rather slim branch mind you, and looked when i got to the green, the ball was badly scared. Now this could be because of a multitude of other factors, but i did notice this gash after the tree. The sound off the woods and irons was very clicky, this is honestly the first ball that had a click to every shot. The putter was a whole different feel. Much more soft. The ball flight and feeling felt dead. Had reasonable spin around the greens. I never produced enough spin for combacks, but it held well. The RZN Black preformed light years better for me. The feel from the woods and irons was impressive. Just soft and responsive. You knew when you stuck the ball well, you knew it was going to fly straight, or have the perfect draw or fade you were going after. It just worked on every shot for me. I got at least 5-8 more yards distance off the tee and about 3-5yds more from the irons. Putter feel was a bit more muted, but not enough to make it worrisome. This ball did have considerably less spin around the greens. You have only one option with this ball, make sure you hit every approach shot from the fairway, you will need every bit of stopping power you can get. From the rough and make sure you account for the roll out from the shot. All in all, the black outperformed the platinum, for me, hands down. Feel and consistency were the 2 most important takeaways from the Black. Durability for both was impeccable. I used to play a V1X, and I will never go back. Once these go down to $20 a dozen like the 2015 rzn blacks, I will be buying 10 to 20 dozen at a time!
  3. This is the funniest thing I have read on here in a while. So much so that I just had to comment. You really think a golfer with a season like 2015 is a flash in the pan? Was he a flash in the pan when he won 2 US Am's? Dude for gods sake go watch some actual golf. sarcasm meter off this morning, or someone piss in your Wheaties...lol. Usually sarcasm is centered around a stupid quote. but you sir have mentioned 3 people, all of which did have an awful fall from grace. Jordan has yet to even have some sort of this thing happen. So nope, nobody pissed in my Wheaties, nor did I miss the sarcasm (because there was none). You just need to do a better job with the sarcasm meter, because its way off.
