  1. I asked about golf when I was getting fit and he seemed rather vague. He said it would be different and that it would be up to me to make that decision. Kind of a frustrating answer. After getting the glasses I was feeling terrible all the time while wearing them. He rechecked my vision to see if he had made a mistake and made sure the frames were sitting right. Turns out, the frames were sitting way too high. After that adjustment things got much better, except for golf. Again, I asked him about prism and golf and he gave me the same answer. I'm in a position where I don't want to spen
  2. I am also an optometrist and I agree with everything said here. I think the best part is to contact your doctor to work with him/her to ensure you have the proper amount of prism for addressing the ball. The other component to this could also be magnification. Even lower amounts of lens power can cause the ball to appear to be a different size. This combined with the prism can trick you into thinking the ball is a different distance away, leading to poor contact. You can usually adjust to this with some range time but going glasses on, glasses off all day will make it tougher. Thank you b
  3. I've been waring glasses now for a few years and recently I've been trying lenses with a slight prism. While they help with my headaches, they make hitting the golf ball near impossible. I'm a fairly high level golfer and I've yet to make solid contact while wearing them. I'm now in a position where I wear my glasses to the course and then golf with out them as I have fairly good vision as a baseline. I hate the adjustment period when taking the glasses off and when putting them back on so I'm thinking about getting some prescription sunglasses and re-learning how to hit the golf ball. M

There should only be one gold company then. They have all reached the limits of the rules of golf, so the argument can be made that all of the companies are chargng mor then be another for possibly no perfomqnce gain. You no what I putt better with better putter. You can go to big 5 and buy a $20 copy cat putter. That means that even Ping is charging hundreds more for a .2 upgrade perfomance wise.

You are using a false analogy. The only similarity between a Model T and a modern Chevy is that they are both cars. From a cosmetic, functional, and aesthetic standpoint, they couldn't be farther apart. With the Chevy, their company took the concept of a car (4 wheels, engine, etc), and made everything else about it their own. With the original Anser and Anser copies, they look the same, they function the same, and any "improvements" are negligible (using a different material, cutting a sound slot, site dot vs site line, etc.) With all of the Anser copies, they essentially took the Anser

He is the pioneer, but why don't people do that with everything else. Henry Ford was the pioneer of the modern day vehicle. When you see a Chevy do you say nice, but looks likes another Ford copy? When you look at sand wedges do you say, that is just another Gene Sarazen rip off? When you fly do you say to AirBus, the Wright brothers had it first? No, because all of these original designs have been improved upon. Let it go, we all know what Solheim did, but give the modern day guys a chance.
