  1. I thought the Mizuno MP-33's came with Rifle Shaft Stocks as well.....
  2. What you have a loser moderator harassing you in your DM's..... :D :D :D
  3. Titleist 983E with Aldila NV Stiff Shaft..... what a beatin stick those things were!!!

  5. Thanks for the suggestions.... looking forward to this project tho..... more time in the man cave....

Sometimes making the jump to blades can take your game to new levels..... it did for me back in the day. not sure it would do the same now since I don't play nearly enough but they certainly make you focus on contact.... which is what its all about....
  7. When did bright chrome stop being a thing? not a fan of the brushed chrome at all... call me old school.....
  8. The look like a forged version of the old 962B's actually, especially the grind on the sole of the irons. Excited to demo these, I went from the 962B's into my 681's and really haven't played any other Titleist Iron since... these might end up in the bag if they perform how they look. I'm getting too old for these 681's...
  9. I just picked up a set of Hogan Apex Redline Irons but they need to be re-shafted. Looking for any tips and suggestions on what to do about the pin that goes through the hosel in order to remove the existing shafts? Anyone have any experience dealing with these pins?! I use to have a set of Maxfli austrailian blades back in the day and they also had these and I remember someone telling me they are a total pain to deal with so I ended up getting rid of the irons instead of re-shafting. These Hogans I plan on getting re-finished at some point and putting shafts in them. Thanks for any comments..
  10. I'd recommend getting your lofts of your irons adjusted to closer to traditional. This is a common problem with today's irons. A 45 degree PW is insane to me... if your irons on not bendable then I guess you have to add another wedge in there somewhere.... 45 is my 9-Iron and then I go to 50 from there but I am able to hit my 9-Iron from 105 to 150 with a variation of swings so i can fill the gab pretty easily...
  11. > @Myherobobhope said: > Plenty of people are still gaming one... If you hit an old driver better, why not use it? > I think shaft is more important than club head (though you have to like the club head)... put the right shaft into a driver and it's going to perform. Agreed, I still play the Titleist 913 head and played with a TaylorMade R7 for 9 holes last night just for kicks. doesn't carry as far as the 913 but courses are dry and went pretty close to as far with the roll.... Find a shaft and head that is accurate has always been my thought process. If you hit the right part o
  12. Ping hoofer stand bag.... they don't make em like this anymore!!!

I can see traditional vs modern lofts has been discussed here and elsewhere a few times. I was thinking that my 6 and 5 irons seems quite difficult to hit compared to what I'd expect (5 iron in particular seems a very high risk club), starting to make sense now that I prefer hitting 8 and 9 irons from the tee when they are the traditional lofts of a 6 and 7 iron? And the 7 iron is my very top limit for a safe play,

Love the Tour Platform shaft, still use it in some of my fairway woods. I use to have it in the TaylorMade R7 Driver... Nobody will ever convince me there is a better shaft for that driver head than the Tour Platform. I would have bought that club for the shaft itself....

Have tried every brand under the sun when it comes to irons and my favorite has always been the Srixon z565 irons. Played some grey golf when I had them a few years ago. So after trying all the new irons, and not really finding anything I like I’ve purchased another set to rekindle some magic. I said all that to ask this. I’m a lefty and they never made the gap wedge left handed so I thought about buying a 765 pitching wedge and having it bent a couple degrees
  19. The CLK series has always been rock solid, I haven't hit these but I can't imagine them being bad......

It wasn’t a fair comparison with the random balls and indoor setting. I did like the look at address of the MP-18MB though, unlike the MP-5. Thought I would ask here. Go hit them both off grass...... that's all I got!
