Record low amount of golf for me this year.. 28 rounds in the past 12 months, historically above 100+/year. Work has been really busy as well as parental responsibilities. Golf just takes too long for me right now :s Hoping to play more, but not sure if I see that changing anytime soon. Starting to question my membership at the club, my per round cost has to be above $500 at this point lol! I have been buying putters and other stuff though - and want to revamp my
  2. Wow - what a cool trip! Huge fan of Fujikura products, they just seem to have a lot of options that work well for me. Great crew representing WRX.. good stuff! Now I have to hunt down that 85g TR shaft :)

  4. Whoa.. this new format is crazy! I'm officially an old guy on here now :)

If I remember correct it was sparked by sharp pains in the back of your hands when doing different things. I experience this when I’m picking up things or trying to open jars and what not. Thanks man. I had a hammate fracture in my left hand. Basically with my palm up there was a very sharp pain at the "meat" of my pinky and ring finger in my palm. Only fix is surgery.
  6. Rarely do I disagree with you.. but I disagree on this. I found the regular V to be closer to the TP5X but with more spin and the V1X to launch higher and spin more, too much on both for my game. I found spin to be similar around the greens but higher with the V1X.. enough so that if I were playing a course with hard firm greens, I'd go V1X for those rounds. The X spins MORE on partial wedge shots, though, right? Yes. See my post above. Yes, I like them, but nothing earth shattering, just good :)
  7. Hi. The '17 ProV1. Tried the AVX, don't really like it.. it doesn't spin enough around the greens. I tried the '19 ProV1 and that is a really nice ball.. seems to have the AVX or similar dimple pattern. Seems to be no brainer replacement for the '17, but I just bought 7 more doz. Ugh. Are you ... golfing? 50 rounds last year... :censored2:

  9. Or you can find DH89's that cost more than 009's? :dntknw:
  10. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh You know we already have examples of this being done, right? exactly... let's put a scratch player at shinnecock from the tour tees and those conditions...heck pros struggle to break 80 on such courses.. scratch player is shooting 90s-100s Sigh.... LOL.. +1
  11. If you have a DH89 and Buttonback already, then only you would be able to determine if an 009 is "worth" it. The DH89 is almost an identical head, so I'm not sure you'll see a tremendous amount of differences between the two, if any. The fit and finish of 009's are different than an 89 - a lot of small differences can add up in the way your perceive each putter and how comfortable you are with either model on the course. The Buttonback is such a solid gamer and popular model so I think with your current rotation you're already good. The upside of the 009 is that if you can find a good dea
  12. I saw the Epic Flash in the wild the other day, I might be able to hit it this week, but first glance is that this might by the nicest shaped Callaway head I've seen in a while. So nice that I'll be testing it against my TS3. TS3 has been $$$$. This weekend our club takes the top 24 in MGA annual points and splits them up 12 on 12 for a Ryder Cup match for some cash/dinner etc.. as a thank you for participating in MGA but also playing well.. so let's just say there were some "good for their index" type of guys. I got 10 of 11 possible points in my matches and one of the halves was a 9 hol
  13. It's a fair trade. However, I'm willing to bet he got them at PUD which is probably about half and would be getting your BB for $500ish. Either way it's a fair deal for both.
  14. Yeah, I think I will eventually.. I don't need much more over what I already have in the 917.. but if it's that much better I'll put it in.
  15. Love it, I posted numbers from my fitting a page or two ago.. best performing for me by far.
  16. For some reason I stopped getting alerts on here! Thanks brother! :drinks: :drinks: Yes, I went with the TS3 8.5 with Fuji Speeder TR7 - it is a MONSTER! Longest Titleist driver I have owned, and still has the same playability characteristics I love about the Titleist drivers. Yes, they are just really good. Sound/feel are so much better than my 718's and a performance is also better. As said above.. really happy with the 919T's, I don't see them going anywhere. The S18's are also really nice on the course, have hit some amazing shots with them. I only have them in t
  17. Would be interested in your thoughts on the CTL. In my fitting we started with the Modus 120, spun more than the CTL.. I was counting on going back to the X100, so I wasn't actually planning on either one fitting me, but those were the top 2 recommended from the start.
  18. 760 top line would be hard to look at after the honeymoon period. TM's iron release track record has me staying at arm's length.. WAYYYYYYYY too many models released too close together.
  19. I've been playing the Fuji Atmos Black 7TX in the 917D3 for a while now and it's been arguably the best setup I've had in terms of distance and playability. My pros were that it went really straight and made awful swings look great. The cons were it went high and spun bad on off-center misses. I haven't been fit outdoors in a neutral, non-OEM biased setting in a while so I went to Cool Clubs to get fit. I tried various drivers but the Fuji TR won out. It not only felt the best, but the #'s and dispersion were the best. I've literally never heard of this shaft but I have it in hand now an
  20. You going to play more in '19? Going to try. Definitely. Obviously still love the game, tinkering with equipment etc.. but as long as my family's wellbeing is always put first I'll golf as much as I can fit it in. Have seen too many people (we both know) who have lost perspective and have suffered in other aspects of life. Luckily we live really close to the club and the club is also more than just golf, so I find it more convenient to go to in general. Work and kid and wife wants more kids = creative scheduling :) I've been doing a lot of our club events, 0 invitationals this year a
