  1. Well you guys have sold it to me, the seller was getting rid of a vokey 60 degree with the set for free so couldn't say no. Hopefully I like them! Thanks guys
  2. Hi there, started playing golf this summer and my clubs my old man had are starting to wear away now so I need a new set of clubs. I've seen these King cobra 3100 I/h irons (4-PW) for £50 which seems a good price but not knowing what they are like I want to double check. If anyone has any reviews on them especially for a high handicapper that would be great. Cheers

  4. And also for shaft and lofts should I just play safe and get regular if I don't go for a fitting?
  5. Hi guys Pretty new to this forum and pretty new to golf! I've been playing golf since the start of this season and I've been using my dad's old clubs (Donnay pro ones half set) yet I recently acquired a new putter (latest Nike method b201?) And it's improved my game massively and I have unofficially worked out my handicap to 25 yet I feel like I need a full set of irons and a new driver. Now I don't have the funds for a new set yet I would probably go for second hand but I wouldn't know where to start. Can I get fitted for second hand clubs or should I just go for it and buy a set? Then I woul
  6. I'm assuming youd still have to buy a compressor for this? And also would there be a way to save the media at all or is that me sounding daft?
  7. As the title says. I'm looking into putter refinishes and have seen people using a sandblaster to use on "awkward" putter like scotty camerons and like your old ping ansers. But for the cabinet and the compressor it is a bit expensive if you don't have the funds of Bruce Wayne or it just so happens you have one in your garage. So yeah are there any alternatives that will either do the job with maybe a bit more time and effort or something that is close to it? Thanks
  8. thanks for the help Buddha!! Hopefully enough its something I do for a long time. Felt good just before I started to torch the putter. Big learning curve for me haha. And definitely more room for me to learn still
  9. Cheers for the advice. It's an old putter that doesn't have any scrap value so I'm not too bothered. Probably try and give it a chance at redemption and sand it out
  10. Hi guys just tried to do my first bit of refinishing on a putter, so I sanded and polished it, took the shaft off and used my blow torch to try and get a cool colour from it, then was planning on dipping it in oil. However, after about 30 minutes of torching nothing happened. An extra five minutes went and the putter started to bubble/ melt. Now the putter I was using was a Donnay Pro One 3 putter. Now being a beginner I don't really know how or why this has happened? Or whether or not it was my fault or the metal used for the putter is something that shouldn't go near a flame. And the tutoria
  11. I've also seen something on putter refinishing. Sure you could turn a profit off that? Buy low sell high. I do thoroughly enjoy the sport and I think once I have the funds I'll give making my own clubs a go. Just like being hands on haha
  12. Right no worries cheers. Might possibly not have the money for it to be a hobby then haha
  13. Hi guys! New to the forum and have been playing this wonderful sport for about a year now. I'm a 25 handicapper and I feel like I'm in need of an upgrade of clubs (using my dads old clubs which are a set of donnays that are older than me). However I don't have the money for a new set of clubs so I thought about buying all the parts separately and putting them together myself to further enjoy the sport. and it got me thinking, could you make money from buying all the parts cheap and putting them together and selling them on ebay? There could be a few chuckles reading this but I don't know. If y
