  1. 1. Your closest Club Champion location? Scottsdale AZ 2. Would you like to win a Driver or Putter Package? Driver 3. Did you follow Club Champion on Twitter? Yes 4. How would a Club Champion Driver or Putter package help your game? It would allow me to find a low spin driver, that helps me gain a bit of distance - and reduce my tendency to hook the ball off the tee.
  2. Hey all -- I am the third tester, and sorry for not posting before. I tore a medial meniscus in my left (front) knee on December 10th -- and that has had my sidelined. I am still trying to figure out if I will be able to properly participate in the test. I just wanted to let everyone know that I was not just ghosting the review. I will at least take some pics of the club next to my gamer 3w (a SIM Ti) and 3hy (a Cobra F7). The F7 has been a great club for me -- but over time, as my swing and game have developed, I find that he it wants to hook/overdraw -- and I am hoping the UW will be a more neutral alternative (while still giving me good launch and pickup).
  3. In a post below tell us who is your nearest authorized dealer? Cool Clubs @ Grayhawk Golf Club Why are you excited to hit the Speeder NX shaft? I used to love the Speeder and Motore Speeder shafts in my driver -- although now I am using a Diamana. That said - this new tech, the mid launch low-spin profile seems very promising. What flex and weight Speeder NX shaft do you want to win? Probably 60X or 70S -- but I would love to get fit.
  4. 1. Head over to cobragolf.com -- Check! 2. Join their e-mail list at the bottom of their website. (E-mail will be confirmed) -- Check! 3. Did you join their e-mail list? YES! Thanks!
  5. Yep -- that is what I did as well. $106 for 48 tour level urethane balls is pretty great. I just long for the days for the BOGO Srixon Z-stars at $40 (for 24 balls). But with Srixon moving up in profile (and marketing expense - thanks a lot Brooks), I doubt we will see $20 a doz ever again.
  6. After looking at the MGS review and number of off center cores they found - I was out on the Mizzy balls. For $6 more - I did the Maxfli Tour X which get exemplary reviews from the same source. I don’t know anyone except MGS that does the same level of rigorous analysis.
  7. Dang - they were in stock two days ago. Do you have a link to the Mizuno deal? NM: Found it! HERE
  8. Just to keep the convo going. I keep going back to Walmart and reupping on the $25/dz deal I referenced above. My last two orders have been Z-Star (non-XV), and were new (old stock), round and mold free. So the Srixon deal is still alive - and I think the best out there right now for a urethane tour ball.
  9. 1. City, State? Scottsdale AZ 2. Handicap? 13 3. How would the Apex Utility Wood fit into your bag? to replace my aging (oldest club in my bag) Cobra F7 19* It fills the gap between my 3 wood (TM Sim 14*) and Utility iron (TM Gapr Mid at 21*) 4. Why do you want to test the Callaway Apex Utility Wood? As I have advanced as a golfer - I find the hybrid can let me down with too much draw bias. 5. Do you agree to take high quality photos, write an in-depth review, and be part of an on-going testing thread? Absolutely
  10. Pictures tell the tale. Ordered this earlier this year, but only gamed it a few times. Comes with the PXG weight kit ($49 extra). I replaced the stock grip with a JumboMax Bryson grip that I had on another putter (so the grip shows some wear). Grip is blown on — so easy to change out. Headcover in great shape. I literally gamed this putter about 3 times (and carpet rolled it the rest). Only trade is for other armlocks of similar or higher value. SOLD
  11. Hey guys - new to the area. This is my fist “season”. So what is a typical White Tee card rate at Grayhawk? How much of a discount? And what is a typical Troon Card rate in the winter at Troon North? Just trying to understand the benefit of the card?
  12. Thank you both for the tips. I also reached out to Jake Ledbetter directly on instagram.
  13. I have been with Alex for some time (since my original post). I feel like he has helped me get better a lot better. But … now I am thinking of at least trying someone else (not necessarily moving away from Alex — just getting another set of eyes). I would love to field a “George Gankas disciple” on Skillest — I love his ideas. Anyone know of one? I wish Jake Ledbetter was on Skillest or something.
