Not quite sure what you're getting at, but was hoping to get some honest replies on whether groove/ball combos really matter. Maybe there's a story in the archives, could take a look.   3. The iron and ball comment by Rory is probably the most interesting news here to me, other than the putter (won multiple times with the current Scotty mallet). I've never really thought/heard of it, but is there much stock in him commenting on ball/iron groove compatibility? Honestly never even crossed my mind. Suddenly concerned with my iron/ball combo, haha.
  4. He's a broken record on "strike is king", how club tech makes minimal difference, etc. but I think he's 100% right. Does it make a difference for good players trying to make tweaks to their woods to optimize performance? Yes. Does it make the difference that TM is selling? No. If TM didn't overhype their claims, numbers, etc. he'd back off.
