  1. I’ve had my Scotty Champion’s Select in the bag since I received it. After all the experiments I did over the season the Newport 2 shape is what works best for me. I still have my Byron 620 that I use from time to to, but primarily the Scotty. Both have a Fujikura MC X-Firm in them.
  2. I had a Cuvio and really liked it. The head felt and sounded great. Mine had an LAGP shaft in it, which could have contributed to the feel a little bit. The rounded bumpers on it don't work as well for me as more square lines so I ended up moving on from it. As far as weight goes, I play all my putters in the 375g range so if thats something you like it's a great option.
  3. I'm actually playing it with a Ventus Black 10x. It's playing at 42.75". I use it as a replacement of my 3 wood. My home course doesn't really need a 3 wood of the fairway, so having the larger head, and using it as an additional option off of the tee has been great. I've hit it off of the deck a few times, and haven't had much issue with it. It doesn't fly high, but it's far from not being hittable.
  4. I have an MGI Zip Navigator (electric cart) and very seldom ride in a regular cart, but I love the Titleist Hybrid stand bag.
  5. Thats correct. It’s the same insert. As @MattM97said, it’s just the nature of the copper in the insert. I wipe my down after every putt, keep it in a dry headcover and that’s just what it does. I only use water to clean mine as I don’t want to accelerate any long term wear, and I never leave it wet.
  6. Mine gets dirty virtually every time I use it. So, aside from sitting it inside not really.
  7. Thursday release is plausible. With the way they changed the releases this year I don’t think moving it to another day is out of the question. In my opinion, there’s no chance he skips the Ryder Cup opportunity so it’s just a question of when, not if.
  8. As long as it’s installed properly it’ll be just fine. I still use extensions in wood shafts if I need to.
  9. Tiger’s 2018 Tour Championship win. Justin Rose won the FedEx Cup but I’ll never forget that walk down 18 for Tiger.
  10. 1. City, State? Yardley, Pennsylvania 2. Handicap? 3.7 3. Current Iron set? Titleist T100•s 4. Are you right-handed or left-handed? Right handed 5. Why do you want to review the Takomo 201 irons? I’m beginning the process of looking for new irons and have never had the chance to hit something like these. 6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? Yes
  11. Should be next Tuesday, but who knows with the new random release timing.
  12. I’m a Z Cord guy as well. UTx was always a bit slick feeling to me for a cord. Probably because of the softer material and less aggressive cord itself.
  13. If the slight variance in yardages aren’t hurting your score there’s no reason to change them or nitpick at them like you mentioned. I stretched the top end of my bag to make the gaps bigger than the standard lofts were designed for. Most modern sets narrow the gaps in the long irons, to make them a bit more playable I would imagine, but I went with 5* gaps fin the 4, 5, and 6. 6 iron (30*) through 58* are all 4* gaps. I can live with the bigger gaps at the top end as I rarely have to hit them into a green at my home course, and they’re primarily for long par 3s or used off the tee as a layup on shorter holes.
  14. I’ll add a second vote for GolfShot. I’ve been using it since last year. It automatically goes to the next hole once you input your score. It’s great for stat tracking also.
  15. Give it a few swings, and if it "sucks" it's one of his.
  16. I have a PuttOut mat and I use all the alignment aids on that to get setup square. Have an eye line mirror to make sure setup is right. Then I have a Big Moss mat to make sure I don’t get too dependent on the training wheels. My setup and alignment have vastly improved since I started practicing at home. My misses now are more read, speed and break, dependent as opposed to a bad stroke or bad impact.
  17. This season I came to really like taking the taper out of my wedge grips. It helps consistency while choking down. I play matching grips from driver to lob wedge.
  18. That’s my biggest take away from it. That at no point, up until the switch, did anyone think it could be the putter. The complete opposite of a typical WRX’r, myself included, who blame the putter and not themselves.
  19. In reality, they probably don’t check their putters very often unless they go through some sort of equipment change or overhaul mechanics to the point the putter specs need to be changed to fit it. Putters don’t get the same type of wear and tear abuse irons and wedges go through.
  20. His new putter is a Scotty. He used a White Hot Pro up until the switch. https://www.golfwrx.com/651730/will-zalatoris-witb-2021-masters/
  21. Manufacturers is beautiful. Have a buddy who’s a member there. Cedar brook fits what you’re looking for pretty well also.
