  1. Played 10-27 yesterday, wind was kicking. Agree that 19-27 don't have the same vibe as the first 18 and are definitely more exposed which was rough with the wind. Not sure if 1-9 were closed or what the deal was, as the only option was 10-27. Fun but I don't think I would go back for the final 9, glad I got to play them though. Also played like CRAP so maybe that was part of it! Course was in great shape for mid March, the greens were rolling perfect. They really do a great job with maintenance, my only gripe would be the bunkers but that was probably since I was in them all day.
  2. How were conditions when you played?
  3. Haha, crazy wind seems to be a common theme up there. Makes the forced carries with big elevation drops even more fun! Might have to give the other nine a try, weather is not looking promising for Thursday though.
  4. What say you? I've played 1-18 and loved the course, how are 19-27? Hoping to play Thursday on the way back from a business trip, would appreciate everyone's opinions.
  5. Definitely! First round of the year at my home course was my best round yet there.
  6. Should be able to get on at Eagle Mountain in Fountain Hills under $60 if you check golfnow/teeoff, not a bad course. Or make the drive to Southern Dunes and you won't be dissapointed!
  7. Find someone with a We Ko Pa pass and they are still at $99 through March
  8. drive through there all the time, didn't even know Monticello had a course. Moab is a fun course. I'm also partial to Pinion, although the Farmington area is a bit of a dump.
  9. Scootsdale in the fall is nice. Still deals on golf and lots of shopping, hiking, or other activities for the wife.
  10. Agree with the valuables pouch or yardage book covers. Both will last a long time and should get lots of use.
  11. I did get out to Ratliff Ranch in Odessa....links style and the wind was down, so it didnt play too tough. Still want to check out Rockwind in Hobbs, maybe in April when I get back there.

    Midland Courses

Heading to Midland for business in mid-November. Any recommendations on where to play? After that have to go to Hobbs, NM, and was looking at Rockwind which looked decent for southeast NM. Anyone played there?
