I was about to pull the trigger on a set of JPX 900 HM but before I did, I called PGATSS and they told me it would be tough to change the lie angle to 2 degrees flat which I would need. They said they could but the irons tend to bend back to original lie angles....is this true and does it apply to all non forged models? I guess I might have to look at a used Ping Orange or Purple Dot if that’s the case. Or else I’ll be stuck to having ordering new from the factory. That doesn’t sound right. Typically, with forged, it’s a good idea to

I am not sorry at all about switching to
  4. Just picked up a 54 and 58 after reading many reviews. Went with 56* bent to 54* so I could get the 4 way which from what I’ve read, is better for full swings. The 58* is atv which as stated above, great for sand, flips, etc but not so great for full swing.

  6. Quick question. Just restarted with graphite shafts and while taking some practice swings, I can hear a whizzing noise. Now I don’t swing fast but it’s the sound you hear when guys swing really fast. Is it possible the ever so slight cavity is causing a wind tunnel? Lol
  7. > @rondre3000 said: > Yes, they are that good - but I've recently switched to Hot Metal Pro's and haven't looked back. :) Why the switch if you don’t mind me asking? I currently have HMP in the bag and considering the forged. While I really like the forgiveness of the HMP, not much a fan of the feel having come from 2019 apex irons and PXG irons.
  8. I found the CF16’s to be more forgiving than the CF19’s.

  10. Let me know if you separate the Ping g410 17* head as I need stiff flex. Thanks.
  11. Currently testing both srixon z585 and mizuno 919 HMP’s. While I prefer the feel of the srixon over the mizuno’s, the forgiveness of the mizunos is so much better.

  13. First time out on the course with the NX9. While I enjoy the unit, wish they didn't put the mode button on top. Too many times I was hitting the mode button instead of the green button.
  14. Tried just the 6 and 7 iron indoors (see pic, 6 iron still has plastic wrapper on, 7 iron plastic wrapper was removed). All other irons are still in plastic wrap. These irons are basically brand new. $800 shipped conus only OBO Shaft: Nippon Modus 105 stiff flex Loft: standard Lie: 5,6 iron: +2* upright 7,8 iron: +1* upright 9,PW,AW: standard Grips: MCC WHITE/BLACK standard plus 3 wraps
  15. ok fellas. Just to update. I picked up a set of Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro irons to test out. Kinda have buyers remorse without even hitting them thinking maybe the regular Hot Metal would be more suited for me.
  16. Thanks for the feedback thus far. Shot 87 on Bethpage Red yesterday. Hit almost every fairway with driver but more importantly, was striking my irons really well. I think once I got it in my head that my swing was off and was shanking shots, immediately, I thought of the Maltby MPF ratings which has the Apex irons at “476 - Conventional”.

  21. Just placed an order for one. Can anyone recommend a case for the unit? I'm sure the magnet is strong and all but I get very paranoid I might hit a nasty bump and the rangefinder goes flying off the magnetic rail.
  22. Yeah, the fitter at CC said standard length was right for me. So last night, I hopped on the monitor and what I thought were toe strikes were actualy heel strikes! lol. I'm a mess. I swear, part of me feels ever since getting the launch monitor, my swing has become so inconsistent as I am trying too many things. Wish I could find an instructor near me as I think online lessons just don't work for me. Back to the drawing board. LOL
