  1. You can order a PING Vault Dale Anser with a heaweight of 335g. I think I'm correct in saying that this putter with the "+" (plus) on the sole weights weighs 365g, the sole weights with no sign on them weigh 350g and the weights with "-" (minus) on them weigh 335g. I may be correct in saying that PING put the "+" weights on 33" and 34" putters or putters shorter than 33", the weights with no sign on 35" and the "-" weights on models that are 36" or above 36." However if you ask your PING retailer, I think you can request whatever sole weights you want at your desired length. I don't know if you can still order the PING Vault Dale Anser from PING retailers but it might be worth trying to find out.
  2. Can you definitely not change the weights on this putter? I was half thinking of getting this putter and either taking out the weights or putting lighter weights in the head. If I can’t change the weights, I might hold off on purchasing this putter.
  3. Check out the Odyssey Metal X Milled 2 Ball, 7 and Rossie.
  4. Hi all, I know that this putter has interchangeable weights in the putter head that can be customized to a 350g, 360g or a 370g headweight I believe. What I am wondering is, what is the headweight of the putter if there is no sole plate inserted in the putter head? This could be found by weighing one of the sole plates and then subtracting that from whatever the sole plate weighs but I don't have these sole plates at hand currently. Also, if I were to game this putter without a sole plate inserted into the putter head, is that conforming? If I were to pick up one of these putters, I would like to get the headweight down as much as possible as I like my putters and 35" and I wouldn't fancy having a 350g headweight at that length. Thanks.
  5. Yup, custom order. I ordered it I think, in either the summer or autumn of 2018 through Morton’s/Morton Golf Sales.
  6. I ordered a PING Vault Dale Anser without a sightline before. Maybe it might still be available and possible to order one.
  7. It has been mentioned on this thread already but when a putter with a sound slot is referred to as a putter with a floating face.

It doesn’t matter what head shape, weight, neck etc. some like a light weight, others like a heavier weight. > > I have used a pistol GT Tour (50g) on my PING Anser milled(345g) without the counter weight. It felt light but I liked it. I don’t lag putt well with heavier putters. I’m sure others would set up this putter with a counter weight. > > I have a Betti BB1 with a GT 2.0, I've tried the 50gram weight and felt like lag putting went out the door. Practice and commitment to it for a couple of weeks might change that, but lighter just feels better. I was just curious if the masses were using the counter weight that maybe i was missing out on something and needed to just practice with it. But good to see that others use without. I don’t think it’s necessarily better or worse with or without it. However, it gives the option to customize the weight either without the weights or 3 different weights. IMO, that’s very appealing to the customer.
  9. Yeah, it’s 100% the JD red insert.

If you can find one at all, they are usually a bit pricey for me. I dont have a problem spending the money for a new one but not for an old beat up one. Would love for odyssey to offer the white hot insert for some models. I was not a fan of the O works insert and not huge on the newest insert. > > > > > > i 100% agree. i am constantly scrolling ebay for in good condition white hot and white hot pro 2 ball's but rarely find any in good usable condition. i would really enjoy if odyssey did a custom shop type offering where you could choose current models and add white hot pro inserts (i'm sure it wouldn't be cheap). i used a versa o-works 1w for awhile but i would constantly get grass and dirt stuck in the hinges on the face which drove me crazy. > > > > I don’t know if it’s logistical for you or not to purchase but all the major golf retailers here in Ireland as well as the UK have all the white hot pro line in stock for less than €100 if you’re desperately looking for a brand new WHP 2 Ball. I have never dealt with UK retailers so its all brand new to me. I have a buddy that owns a golf shop and got a bunch of the black finish WHP putters in (#1, #3, #5, and some Rosie models). He said they were leftover stock Odyssey was getting rid of but they didnt have any 2 balls. There doesn’t seem to be any in the black finish but here are 2 Irish and 2 UK retailers that have them. All the WHP models are €100 and the 2 Ball is €120. https://www.mcguirksgolf.com/p/odyssey-white-hot-pro-20-2-ball-putter-gents-rh/p-od5c540rhgents https://www.halpennygolf.com/Mobile/en/Odyssey-Mens-White-Hot-Pro-20-2-Ball-Putter/m-m-3701.aspx https://www.onlinegolf.eu/clubs/putters/odyssey-white-hot-pro-2.0-2-ball-putter-286385.html https://www.golfonline.co.uk/odyssey-white-hot-pro-2.0-2-ball-putter

  13. I have been toying around with my PING Anser Milled and Taylormade Spider Tour Black as of late. I’m better with the Spider on short to medium putts whereas I am better with the Anser for lag putts. I’m also better with the Anser on short downhillers or when I’m putting through fringe rough. My local shop had 20% off the Odyssey O-Works range this week so I picked up a 7s. I tried the O-Works a couple of years back and felt it was too soft and inconsistent. I have ironed out a few things in my stroke since I tried them out last and they appeared to roll the ball well and offer a not as muted level of feedback that I was expecting. I am putter ho but I am optimistic that the 7s could be a good half way house to being better for me on short putts than the Anser and better on lag putts than the Spider. Here’s hoping. EDIT - It’s very much the archer and not the arrows with me. I’m not blaming the putters.,
