  1. Good afternoon everyone, Today I am selling my Callaway Mavrik Max driver. The loft is 10.5, with a Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 7X shaft. This shaft is a $250 upcharge through Callaway, so needless to say it is a beast. It has worked well for me, it is just time to make a switch...I am not quite as young and strong as I once was and no longer can play an X flex shaft. The head has some decent wear, although nothing that would remotely affect performance. There are two idiot marks on the crown, though the one towards the center is more noticeable. I have inclu
  2. Crazy to see this, same boat here. At least there's consistency. Got fitted on 12/11, and after a bad season of iron play in 2020, I told the fitter I didn't care if I got fit for a new model or outgoing model, and I don't care what brand or price. I just need the best irons for me. Ended up with the iBlades. Ordered them that day and I finally just heard from the fitter yesterday that they'll be in on Monday.
  3. Have a great iron set for sale today. Used Callaway Apex 19 Smoke iron set. 5-PW, Extra Stiff Nippon Modus 120 black shafts - upcharge shafts at the time, I believe. Clubheads were bent 2 degrees weak to match a more normal lofted set (so a 45 PW), but can easily be bent back by a pro shop. Used for one season, this past summer. Some typical wear, including bag chatter - see the paint chip on one of the shafts in the pictures; that's the 5i near the head. Still in great shape and lots of life left. MCC+4 Mid grips in gray with tons of life left.
  4. You're definitely preaching to the choir there. This was kind of my thinking - if I am going to struggle to get tee times at public courses and have to pay $60-75 at a minimum per round anyway, if I am going to be someone who plays 4+ times per month in the spring and summer, maybe I'd be better off joining a club regardless. I am new to the area and while Woodmore was the first place I looked, I am not sure how many other places would be right for me price and location wise. So while it feels weird signing at the first place I looked, maybe I ought to really consider it.
  5. Interesting...I am 29, but I have never been enlisted and I work for the District government, so not a lot of love for us there. The price I heard being floated around for Army Navy wasn't even within the realm of possibility for me, but if they can get creative with it, I might be able to make it work.
  6. Funny you should say that...I should've mentioned, I actually visited Woodmore and got a tour and played 9 holes. I was blown away by the hospitality shown and really liked the GM's vision for the place, though I thought the conditions were...not great. It's hard to tell if that was because it was late November, or if they're just not usually great. That being said, I did think it was very affordable, and I am still considering joining. I don't mind a ride of 25min or so. That being said, I've heard mixed things about the competitiveness with which you can get tee times, which is
  7. Also just moved to the DC area and looking at private places. I am in Navy Yard. Seems like Belle Haven and Army Navy would be best for me commute-wise, but it seems like they're both a bit expensive. TPC Potomac is really attractive, but I feel like it's just slightly out of my price range. It's tough.
  8. I'll follow up with a DM, but 125S. Sorry, editing post, should've included that
  9. Two Callaway MD5 Jaws wedges, 50° and 54°. I got them a few months ago, and really haven’t played nearly as much as I’d have liked in those months. They’ve got wear, for sure, but nothing out of the ordinary for a few months. The 50° definitely has a bit more wear. I’d greatly prefer to sell them together. They both have KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 shafts in the matching black finish (might be an upcharge shaft with that finish, I think) with Golf Pride MCC+4 Mid gray grips with a ton of life. Obviously, these are $150 new each, and these are not in bad shape at all. Looking for $225 shipped for both, or
  10. I played another round yesterday with my Bettinardi wedges, so I will provide a bit of an update. As far as my positive thoughts in my initial post, nothing much has changed. I still love these and still think I am going to end up completing the set. Unfortunately, I still have not been able to use a trackman or simulator, as my club has been annoyingly slow about this. I guess I am the only one really on them about this in the middle of the summer, but still - it rains often enough here that whether it's the winter or the middle of the season, we should have a working indoor simulator. But
  11. A couple weeks ago, I found out I was chosen for the Bettinardi wedge reviews. I was thrilled – I knew Bettinardi had recently released wedges, but I’d never been able to see them in person, much less hit them. I’ve had the pleasure of using their putters on several occasions, so I knew to expect the best. So first and foremost, I would like to give a big THANK YOU to GolfWRX and Bettinardi for this opportunity. Like the rest of us, I love golf, but I also enjoy writing, so combining the two to bring a review to GolfWRX is a dream scenario and I am extremely grateful. Apologies if this gets wo
  12. The 2 wedges you'd like to test (complete with finish, grind, bounce, shaft, etc.)? 50/8/C and 58/10/c, in black with KBS Hi RevWhat is your favorite feature of the HLX 3.0 Forged wedges? Forged and their looks. Coolest looking wedges out thereCurrent wedges? Callaway MD5 Jaws WedgesDo you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and high quality photos? Absolutely. Will answer any questions, take pics continuously, can test on the range, on course, in a hitting back with trackman, anything.
  13. I’ve got 4 Vokey SM7s in the gray color. They’ve all got an upcharge shaft, a Project X LZ 6.0, along with MCC+4 Mid blue grips in good condition. As you will see in the pics, they are the 50.08F, 54.10S, 58.04L, and the 62.08M. The 62 was actually purchased a few months after the rest. They’ve got some wear from the last season, but nothing crazy. The grooves have a lot of life left. I was planning on playing these for at least another year or two, but got a new set as a gift. I would definitely prefer to sell them all together, but if you have an offer otherwise, I suppose I will consider it
