  1. I found the important info for you
  2. The final event of the PGA Tour regular season comes to North Carolina this week. FedEX Cup Points:500 Purse: $6,400,000 with $1,152,000 going to the winner Course: Sedgewick CC a Donald Ross design that's a par 70 of 7126 yards. It opened in 1926. OWGR: projection of 50 first place points to the winner up from 44 last year. While players will be battling it out to make the FedEX Cup field of 125, there is less pressure this year as all current PGA Tour members have had their exempt status extended a year. There is also the little matter of the Wyndham Rewards Bonus for finishing in the T
  3. If you ever feel worried about Europe's chances watch this.... https://youtu.be/7-kxODwKATo...and know they got your back.
  4. The OWGR seems to agree with you. Majors: 100 first place points TPC: 80 WGCs/ Fed Ex Cup Playoff: 70s Memorial/ Bay Hill/ LA Open: 60s standard PGA Tour event: 50s Is that about the margin you're thinking of?
  5. We only talk about the pros we hate.
  6. The next four PGAs after Frisco all have a US Open pedigree. Olympic, Baltusrol, Southern Hills and Congressional
  7. The Euros could have shown up next month with the Hojgaard brothers, Hovland, Detry, any three Frenchmen, any three Austrians, Ian Poulter and Miguel Angel Jimenez and I'd still bet on Europe to win.
  8. and to the future 2020 Winged Foot vs. Harding Park: Winged Foot is a vastly superior course, but will they go with the ultra hard set up? 2021 Torrey Pines vs Kiawah Island: A firmer faster Kiawah in May? 2022 The Country Club vs. Trump National: a terse "no comment" was issued 2023 LACC North vs. Oak Hill: I'm looking forward to seeing the pros against LACC 2024 Pinehurst #2 vs. Valhalla: no contest 2025 Oakmont vs. Quail Hallow: if the R&A can host their event at Muirfield this year that would be spiffy 2026 Shinnecock vs, Aronimink: set it up like you did for Pebble Beach then see if t
  9. And by the time the concept really took hold, Arnie was done winning majors.
  10. I agree but I sense a vibe from the OP's question.
  11. If you tossed out the minimum divisor, Collin Morikawa would be #1 in the OWGR by about a twenty percent margin over the field.
  12. Twins have us seeing double and 25 other intriguing storylines heading into U.S. Amateur
  13. Jerry Pate, Hal Sutton, Justin Leonard, the future is hard to see.
  14. For the third year in a row, the United States Amateur comes to one of America's great resort courses. The main course used will be Bandon Dunes with Bandon Trails being used as the other course for stroke play on Monday and Tuesday. tee times: https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/championships/2020/u-s--amateur.html#!tee-times The number of golfers has been cut from 312 to 264. "tv" Due to the USGA switching from Fox to NBC everything will either be on Golf Channel or NBC's new streaming service Peacock. 15. Nantz A lot of people in this forum keep misspelling it.
  16. Top 1000 gets you in great territory. There have been quite a few great golf shots in the last 150 years. Is it a better drive than DJ's at Kapalua or Jack's at St. Andrew's?
  17. That's Hall of Fame Flash in the Pan to you. Congratulations to Koepka for finally passing Speith in this year's FedEX Cup standings. Only ten more spots to catch Rickie.
  18. That drive at #16 will certainly go down as one of the great golf shots in history.
  19. DJ's birdie at the last means he stays #4 and Collin is #5 in the world. Still, he made top 5 before Patrick Reed.
  20. Adventure..... heh..... excitement...ha.....the USGA craves not these things.
  21. That is PGA Tour win number three for Collin Morikawa and his first major. He has as many majors as missed cuts. He will move to #4 in the OWGR. He turned pro fourteen months ago. He will move to #2 in the FedEX Cup race behind Justin Thomas and now has a great shot at 2020 Player of the Year. In the battle for #1 in the OWGR, Jon Rahm's big finish and DJ not winning means he moves past Justin Thomas and back to #1 in the world.
  22. Matthew Wolff and Cameron Champ qualify for the 2020 US Open
  23. The youngest PGA Championship winner is Gene Sarazen who won it at age 20. He's also the third youngest winner and went on to win all four majors. The second youngest PGA Champion was Tom Creavy in 1931 also at age 20 and he never won another major.
