  1. Just got back on Monday and Bandon is the most special place on earth. Sweet Jesus the place is pure. We are East coast guys and played in the first tee time every day. We had winds of 2-3mph every morning and played in 3hrs every time. Being out on those courses by yourself was something special. Our last day we had to be on an 11am shuttle to the airport, so we played pretty quick to get the round in. We were on 13 of Old Mac before another group crested the hill on 3. It was one of the most spectacular rounds I’ve ever played. It was so still and quiet out there. Just amazing. On Saturday we got Sheep in the AM with ZERO wind and that course is one of the most fun courses you can play. You won’t lose a golf ball and the course is extremely playable. Then we got in another 18 at PD, and wrapped up with another 7 hole sunset loop on PD. Holes 3-6 on PD are probably my favorite stretch on property. So much to still process, but we are already getting the trip planned for 2023.
  2. It’s a forged club and feels great. The grooves change on each club through the set and to me it is wedge like, but not exactly like a speciality wedge. I feel that it’s definitely for those that primarily use it for full shots and little chips that run. That being said, it is low bounce and can be used elsewhere.
  3. @BallerNate I purchased a 50* zipcore to give them both a try and ended up back with the A wedge. I prefer the lower flight and spin of the Zx7 to the zipcore on my full shots. I generally use the A for full shots and a lot of bump and run/pitching and find it easier to keep low for that as well. Found it much easier to hit for the full shots and especially if I’m knocking it down into some wind(just got back from Bandon yesterday and it was perfect there). The Zipcore is more versatile for sure if you like to use it a ton for chipping or open it up, but I use my 54* for most of that if I need it.
  4. For the firm turf at Bandon would you guys recommend spikes or spikeless. Heading there next week. Currently weather looks good, but I know that couldn’t change any second. I’m in Mass and wear spikeless all the time here with no issue. Just wasn’t sure if the sandy turf gets slick when wet or anything like that. Thanks!!
  5. Thanks Everyone! I ended up playing Glen Mills. Fun course and I’d recommend it to anyone. Short but demanding and a course I’d definitely like to play again now that I’ve seen it. Lots of blind shots.
  6. @Pearson10M mainly because my pro is kind of a ****** and I don’t think he’s done well to foster relationships outside of our state. Great course through, so nobody calls him on it.
  7. Hello! Looking to play at a decent course within an hour of the West Chester, PA area. I’m down there for work next week and have time Tuesday afternoon. If anyone belongs to a decent private course and travels to Mass I’d be happy to trade a round at my place. Think it would be fun to see something different and get to share my club with a fellow Road warrior. Thanks all!
  8. Get the Max LS and open it up a degree. Move the slider to the toe. If it still draws, get a lesson. Lol
  9. After having it for a few months I love it. I got a Cleveland 50* to mess around with to see which I like best and the set wedge is much better on full shots for me. I do play a lot of chips, bump and runs, etc with it and also like it there. The 50* is more versatile, but if I need something that requires a bit more touch I switch to my Vokey 54*. Its a wedge I didn’t wanna like, but definitely do.
  10. Just built a “fun” bag and haven’t used the full one in awhile. I’ve been having so much fun carrying the short bag I really haven’t thought about the full one in awhile. So fun! Max LS Driver Srixon zx UT 20* zx7 6i z blade 8 and PW Cleveland Zipcore 54*
  11. I traded in an iron set, wedge, and some random irons. No issue. Got the bonus on all of it. Actually got more for the clubs than I originally paid...
  12. Because money and hobbies are different to all people. If you have the money and enjoy buying clubs every two weeks, go nuts. Will it fix your game? Nope. Will a new knife make you a better cook? New car make you get to work on time? New gym membership get you in better shape than the old one? New wife get less mad about new clubs? All are a no for me Bob. I like me some new irons and drivers every few years. I’ve gone from a 23cap to an 8 in the last 3 years. Not a single club in the bag is the same...chicken or egg? I also started taking lessons......Clubs or lessons....guess we’ll never know.
  13. Hzrdus Smoke Black 6.5 80g hybrid shaft. Uncut. Brand new. $50 each.
  14. Did the same thing. Can’t find the middle with the ventus. Mine is currently for sale. Lol.
  15. Very similar profile to AD-DI in driver. I wouldn’t cut it to 3w. Sell.
  16. I’m with everyone else here. Play a 3H and 4UT. I also have a 3UT and a 4H that I rotate through. Rarely use the 4h, but put it in the bag if it’s wet and slow. I use the 3UT for any course that are firm and fast. Love to hit that low runner.
  17. I have a Ventus Blue with Velocore, with a callaway Tip. How do I know if it’s been tipped? Selling it, and people are asking. I have no idea. thanks in advance.
  18. Depends on the swing and strike point. I tested it in 9* and it was too low spin for me. I was looking for a more stable driver this year, and ended with the Callaway Epic Speed Max LS. I just couldn’t get along with the Ping. I even got a 10.5 to try to get the spin up, but just couldn’t quite get it dialed in. It also felt like a heavy head to me.....for what it’s worth.
  19. I have been working with my coach to change my swing plane and a part of that process has been hitting a lot more draws. I’ll go back to the fade once I get the feel I want, but.... I haven’t found the need to make any club changes whether I’m playing the draw or fade with my irons. Just need to be aware of the difference in the shot. My draw is lower spin, but flies much higher than my very spinny lower fade. I have found that the only small difference is my lie angle, but that mostly comes from poor technique during my swing change that I hope to eliminate. When it comes down to it, get fit for the shot shape you prefer. A ball will play a massive role in it as well and should not be overlooked. If you’re playing a super game improvement iron and your “fade” is a wipey soft spinny fade and you’re now hitting a power draw, sure you may want to get something with a little more loft on it. With my driver I always played a draw, so I got nothing for ya.
  20. I’m selling the old one in the classifieds. I’ve hit it like 20 times, I’m sure I’ll get most of it back.
  21. So I bought an Epic Speed Max LS..... Love it, but I HATE the colors. So, I am now the proud owner of a Callaway Customs all blacked out Epic Speed Max LS. Or more specifically two Epic speed Max LS with one that’s sexy. I have a problem.....but an ugly driver ain’t it.
  22. I have a 3 and 4UT(or I will whenever FedEx shows up today) that I’ll use depending on where I’m playing. 3UT and a hybrid get swapped out depending on turf and course.
  23. Can I put a custom ferrule on a graphite hybrid shaft in a UT? appreciate the help!
