  1. Best photos I've seen so far. These can't be from a phone... what did u shoot these with? (Also a photography gear nerd over here hehe)
  2. Like TupperWolf, I similarly replaced a Titleist 910 (d3 for me) which I had been playing for almost a decade to a Mavrik SZ. Paired with the Ventus, this thing is significantly longer, produces faster ball speed and is more forgiving. YMMV, but I think if you're hitting anything 5 years old or older, it might be time to start looking at the newer stuff from OEMs as you may be missing out on forgiveness gains especially.
  3. I'm not the hugest of ho's, I tend to play stuff for awhile but the pandemic has served as a time for me to slowly make some updates to the bag. Previous to this I played Mp29s, a 910D3 and a SonarTec 3 wood, lol, so let's see how long this lasts. Driver: Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero 9 Deg Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black Velocore 6x @ 45" (adapter -1 deg) Fairway: Titleist TS3 15 Deg Shaft: Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7x @ 43" (A1 setting) Hybrid: Ping G425 Hybrid 3 19.5 Shaft: Ping Alta CB Slate 7s @ stock length (small minus setting) 4-PW: Mizuno JPX 900 Tours Shaft: KBS C-Taper Stiff 120G (std length, loft, lie) Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM5 50.12 (F), 54.12 (D), 60.08 (M), Tour chrome Shaft: KBS 610 Stiff 120G Putter: Taylor Made Spider X Chalk, 34" Grips: Lamkin Crossline STD
  4. If your swing is also tour issue, you MIGHT be able to tell the difference. It's really more so about tighter tolerances regarding loft and weight.
  5. I'm going the opposite, dumping it for the Ping hybrid. I had a 2 iron with Thump shaft. It was great off the tee but lacking off the deck and in punch shot situations. I think with my clubhead speed, it made it difficult to elevate anything than an all-out swing. Off the tee and pured, it was LONG. I do want a dedicated driving option in the bag that I can swap in an out depending on course, so when I decide to revisit the idea I think a 3 iron might be a better option in my case.
  6. Shout out Tamiya Blue! Lol I always wonder if there are other RC nerds here. Wouldn't be surprised given it's all gearheads.
  7. Did they talk about why they fit you into a Reg flex with the fairway but a stiff with the hybrid?
  8. Hello all, Up for sale is a brand new pair of Adidas A ZX 8000 "Golf", SIZE US 9. I absolutely love this shoe, but unfortunately didn't convert from UK to US correctly. No trades, prefer to unload for cash so I can swoop something else in my size. My loss is your gain! Grab these today... asking $SOLD shipped OBRO! They originally retailed for over $150+ with shipping. Paypal only to [email protected]
  9. - Have you hit a Ventus shaft yet? What model? Yes, I currently play a Ventus Black in my gamer driver. - What Ventus TX shaft do you want to win? Ventus Blue 6TX - What club in your bag would a Ventus TX go in? Titleist TSi3 Thanks for the opportunity!
  10. I retired a Rescue Mid TP 19 deg with Aldila NVS Hybrid shaft (burnt orange color) last year. I'll never get rid of it because it's the only club I've ever had an ace with (heel/thin from about 223 yds, lol). And tbh finding its successor has been a challenge. I thought this Ping was it but my most recent round has me questioning our relationship and wondering why I ever left Old Orange to begin with.
  11. I'd say do it, playing small blades definitely makes you a better ball striker. I did it for a long time, but now I feel I'm in the stage where I've lost a a lil speed and I cannot dedicate the proper practice time to maintain the sharpness that one needs to truly enjoy the experience. I have since gone to player's cavities, and now am looking at players "tech" cavities (apex, mmc, zx5). We are going down different paths, my friend. Good luck and godpeed.
