  1. agree the posters who mentioned Brendan Todd, Colin Morikawa, and Webb Simpson.... Mark Rolfing mentioned accuracy off the tee was at a premium. Todd, Morikawa, and Simpson are the 3 biggest names I saw at the top of driving accuracy stats.
  2. seems like launch is too low, but I'm no expert. PGA Tour average is 11.2 degrees according to a Google search. Another search says for your ball speed, your launch should be 12-16 degrees and it should get you ~270 yards of carry... so it looks like you're losing 20 yards or so from that.
  3. I've had the same thought BPH. What I noticed personally is that when I focus on making good swings, I focus less on the result, and usually get better results because I'm staying in the moment better.
  4. I think he wanted to rest to ensure his point in singles play. When Tiger said, "I trust my guys", you could tell the tide started to turn. I can't think of better motivation to win than if Tiger tells you that he trusts you to get the job done.
  5. Man, I watched most of this event, it was a pretty compelling watch the last two days. Tiger was the difference. The way he called out his guys after the first day and they responded perfectly, and allowed Tiger to rest yesterday to make sure they got the first point for the singles. Els said that was the turning point today. Ernie Els is a heck of a captain, had all of this guys punching above their weight. Love the course too... it was crazy to watch how the firmness of the greens forced the players to aim away from the holes in order to get the ball close.
  6. He played incredibly that final round. Amazing long iron for an eagle putt, then an amazing fairway wood for another eagle putt... and the wind was definitely a factor. Had two incredible chips too, one he holed out for eagle and another to get the par putt in the playoff to win.

So contrived and fake ( in my opinion ) with the canned applause and odd pageantry including a “ Rory Mcclroy “ Chant and confetti at the end. Just weirded me out just now on the replay. lol missed that! but funny nonetheless.

Seeing those two all week made for some good entertainment, at least for me. They seem to get

  13. Congrats Rory..... way to finish it! That was fun.
  14. WOW.... Rory hit a good putt, just didn't make it. WOW... really didn't think Xander was gonna miss that birdie putt. Missed it on the high side.
