  1. Agree with "the ball would run"...plan on well struck shots going further than normal and possibly running off the fairway. Adjust distances accordingly. Yes, it will be super hot during that time so stay very hydrated.
  2. Yup, agree with those things pointed out regarding the merchandise, practice range, and pricing needs to improve in order to be a premier destination. I really wanted to buy some type of merchandise but really couldn't find anything appealing in the golf shop. Luckily I was there when it was not super busy, but heard the night before it was really busy and the staff at the restaurant couldn't keep up with the number of people. Not sure if the little town of Brewster has enough workforce to handle a big golf resort that aspires to be a Bandon like golf destination. Hopefully they can if they ge
  3. Greens weren't terrible but don't expect super clean greens. Definitely still playable and will not take away from the enjoyment of the course. Supposedly the bright spots on the greens is where staff had to manually pick away the Poa creeping into the fescue from what the staff explained to me. It wasn't a big issue to me and I still had fun playing the course.
  4. Got there on Sunday 5/2 and played 18 that afternoon. What an amazing course! Fun! Had Colton as my caddy and would specifically recommend him. Highly suggested to get a caddy for the first time to show you target lines and read the greens. Course is very walkable. I played solo with the caddy and nobody behind us and in front of us for the whole round that started at 2pm. Next morning played the new Quicksands course and a quick round on the Cascades Putting Course. 1 night stay for all of that. Things I liked: Fairways playing fast and firm (a couple 300 yard drives with r
  5. Great post! Chalk full of good info. Thanks! Do they charge a fee for these short loops?
  6. My Caddy said possibly next year. They already have all the holes designed. Probably just a logistics and financial thing that could be blocking it.
  7. Played Quicksands 5/2 9:45am first tee time of the day. Here's what it looks like when you enter. Almost like the view when you look down on Chambers Bay from the top of the clubhouse. 1st Green called Plinko. Hit the ball off the backboard and watch it roll back to the pin 2nd Green called Right Wing. Hit the ball towards the right side of the green and it should roll towards center of green 3rd Green. Hit over the bunker in front center and behind it there is a punchbowl green. 4th Green called Half Pi
  8. Played Chambers Bay last Monday. 95% of the FWs were dry and fast and firm. Balls rolling on the FWs like it was summer. Greens were good and kind of fast for me. Very dry course. I think the driest during Winter. Great weather and view. Only complaint was the uneven lies on the tee boxes, but I guess that was by design by RTJ. Can't wait to get back there again.
  9. Not sure if anybody posted yet about Demo heads arriving in the US already, but Demo heads arrived at my store in Seattle (Puetz Aurora) last Friday. Tested the Max and LST today and liked what I felt so far. More testing forthcoming.
  10. The King Rooms at the Inn have jacuzzi tubs? Can you or somebody confirm this? This could be a game changer staying at the Inn instead of the Lodge.
  11. Playing Olympic course tomorrow. It's been awhile since I played there last. Some questions if anyone has answers: -Is it walkable with pull cart? -What are the current conditions? -How much more difficult is it from the Blue tees vs White Tees? Thanks.

  13. Adidas Crossknits Boosts would be my first choice. The boost foam really makes the firm turf not so hard on your feet. Adidas Climaproof BOA when it starts raining hard.
