  1. It's probably been 3 years or more since I've played there. Thanks for the info.
  2. I spent an hour on the putting green trying everything and sucked at all of them.
  3. Rules "Members must have 75 posts and 10 points to create a new listing in BST forum. ClubWRX members are exempt from the requirements or $5 per ad can be paid. Post runs (more than 10 posts per day) to reach 75 posts are monitored and will result in account suspension. Please PM Gxgolfer for payment details."
  4. As mentioned by northernmi TS1's or maybe the MMB's.
  5. Putter, if chosen, counts towards the three. I was screwing around on the practice green the other day trying different clubs and failing when a guy came up to me and asked what I was doing. I told him about the three club challenge and he told me he had played in about 7 of these. The one thing that stuck out to him was the winner always had a putter. He felt you're more likely to lose strokes on the green then you are being short off the tee.
  6. I know we've done this thread a number of times but let's do it again anyways because.....well.....we can. :) Next weekend my group is having a 3 club challenge at Falcon Golf Club in Goodyear Arizona (suburb of Phoenix). Home | falcongcWe will be playing the white tees at 6294 yards. I'm really having a tough time deciding on what I want to bring. I'm currently thinking 3h, 7i, and a strong sw (54°).
  7. I'm out. Decided to go a bit minimalist (11 clubs) and didn't care for the Nippon shafts anyways.
  8. If you like them and they go the distance you need to fill gaps there's no reason to change other than change itself (which is a GolfWRX mantra I believe).
  9. You're good. Spend your money on green fees instead.

  11. I carry a 7w and a 4h as they go different yardages. 7w: 215 4h: 200
  12. Replacing the 3w/5w with the 4w is one of the best equipment decisions I've made. Yardage gaps are very good. D: 265 4w: 235 7w: 215 4h: 200
  13. There used to be a huge thread here about steel shafted drivers by one of the most respected posters here. Then one day he and all his threads and posts were gone. Too bad, a lot of great info in that thread. Anyways, I play steel in every club from driver on down except the putter. I love the weight.
  14. I've played TE's for a few years now and have no intentions of changing any time soon.
  15. I gave a 46/52/58/64 wedge setup a try for a couple of months. Didn't like it much.
  16. I've played 4W/7W for a few years now and love it. I've said it here before but I'll be buried with my 7W. Driver: 270 4W: 240 7W: 215
  17. Set pw and gw here. Treat them more of a 10 and 11 iron.
  18. I recently built a short set using my backups. By bending a few of the irons 1° one way or the other I was able to build a set that goes from 2h to lw in 6° increments (10 clubs total). driver 2 hybrid (18°) 4 hybrid (24°) irons (30°, 36°, 42°, and 48°) wedges (54° and 60°) putter Working well so far.

  20. 46-51-56-60 with the 60 rarely coming out of the bag.
  21. I have a 17° hybrid along with a 14° hybrid. Love them both.
