  1. My Putt Out is definitely developing a groove. Basically tho, I find the PP really forces you to putt a straight line and makes you address the stroke at impact, while the PO just trains you for speed to hit the cup. To me, the PP does feel a bit quicker than the PO.
  2. So far, I’m enjoying my Perfect Practice much more than I did my Putt Out. The PP is about 9x2.
  3. I had an ER2B with the Gravity Grip for a while last fall. I absolutely adored the putter on carpet, but I couldn’t putt worth a squat with it on grass. It was really disappointing for me. I prolly had about 5-6 rounds on it before I gave up. I wound up replacing it with a 2014 Cameron Squareback (yes, the one with the big red plus sign) and the Scotty has been money for me.
  4. I had a 2016 Newport reshafted with a black True Temper and the only issue was that the tip needed a little sanding down to get it to fit right into the plumbers neck. i am unaware of any pins in the neck, although I don’t have a 2012 to look at.
  5. I know it’s just marketing, but I’m confused by the whole “Phantom” part of this. It’s clearly based off of a 2016 Futura X5 design. There’s no aluminum body with stainless wings, so how’s it a Phantom at all?
  6. I’m no expert, but it looks like a clean 2012 California Monterrey to me. https://www.scottycameron.com/archives/putters/2012/california/monterey/
  7. I’m a little late to the party, but based on my experience with the XJ Hot set (precursor to the XT) you absolutely should go Flynn or US Kids. When my son was in his 2nd and 3rd years of playing, the Callaway’s were great to get him playing but soon he advanced beyond what that set can deliver.. The Callaway shafts are literally like wet linguini for anyone who can swing a club. We then moved up to Flynn Golf for him and have been nothing but impressed. You pick the clubs, the head weights, the shafts and the lengths - all for a very reasonable price. I’d start there.
  8. I’ve mostly been a lurker since joining here. I picked up a black ER2 with the Gravity Grip this week and finally got to play 18 with it today. I have to say that this thing was money today. I holed so many more putts than I typically do with my Fastback and even my misses were very close to the hole. Short ones, long ones - call me impressed.
  9. Just wanted to say hello from Raleigh, NC
