  1. Played today, the difference in a couple weeks is pretty crazy. The fairways have a ton of burnt out spots. #3, practically the entire fairway is scorched, more dirt than grass. Odd thing was, #2 was CPO. The bad spots look like this: I don't mind a little burnt out in the summer, but when the conditions start affecting your good shots, that's when it gets frustrating. The greens are getting some dead spots that are affecting the roll as well. I had a putt tracking right into the hole, hit a dead spot and took an absurd right hand turn. Pretty comical.
  2. I played We Ko Pa Saguaro this morning. It's in great summer shape! Greens are a little grabby/grainy and won't break as much as they look, not fast. Receptive, small pitch marks even with full wedges. Not too many burnt out areas in the fairway. Upside down cups are dumb. Had a 5 footer hit the middle of the pin, hit the upside down cup fin and popped out lol. Mandatory face mask wear in the pro shop.
  3. Ak-Chin Southern Dunes this morning. Waited on every single shot, played over 4 hours. Fairways and tees were good. The only super burnt out areas were the edges immediately near the fairway and green side bunkers and some of the approach areas leading up to the green on the par 5's. Green pics below. tried to capture the good and the bad. They were slower than I expected, nothing too terrible. Had a few putts take some bounces. Bunkers were fine.

  5. Playing Southern Dunes in the AM. I'll snap a few pics. Been hearing the greens have recovered from their punching and getting better every day.
