  1. TLDR: new clubs, corrected lie angle, lighter shafts, lower hands, looking for new swing thoughts Recently went in to get fit for lighter shafts. Found out my 718 AP1s were not built correctly and had a 5° upright lie. Put any club in my hand, I'll set it on the ground until it looks flat to my eye, and from there I'll unconsciously set my hands to whatever height the lie angle dictates, produce a decent shot. After the fitter explains that to me, we agree that I need to go back to a standard lie and definitely lighter shafts (AP1s had 130g Dynamic Gold shafts). We joked that I was basical

    Vokey SM8

Apologies up front if this has been addressed already in the thread, but I haven't found an answer yet... I'm wanting to order/get some SM8s but haven't found the best way to go about it. I'm looking for a place to order, other than Wedgeworks, to get KBS Hi-Rev shafts. I realize the price is pretty set right now with a non-standard shaft request. Anyone have a dealer or suggestion? I'm also open to buying just the heads and shafts separately to take them to a local guy that can assemble, but haven't found anywhere to buy just the heads. It may be that with everything shut down right now

  4. The lulu ABC Pant Slim Warpstreme are some of my favorite pants ever. My other go to for a more classic look on the course are the Peter Millar Stealth Performance (both shorts and pants). Unmatched material and comfort from both.
  5. After some heavy research, I pulled the trigger on a Rapsodo MLM for Christmas. Amazon priced at $380 during Rapsodo's own markdown. Only been out on the range a couple times with it but wanted to provide some feedback and throw some questions/comments out there to see if anyone has anything to add. App is user friendly and easy to navigate. It is really a matter to clicking around to find the features. It seems as though there is an auto calibration feature now which is good considering it was kind of a pain to follow the calibration instructions. My one complaint is there is no way to e
  6. I imagine there are lots of running/tennis shoes (whatever you'd like to call them) that are comfortable to golf in and stylish, thus the sole swap market. Personally I've found that the Peter Millar HyperLight Glides are quite comfortable. I've never been one to worry too much over grip with spikes so I've also worn SWIMS. Typically I wear both of these for range sessions and have on occasion during a round, depends on how serious I am.
  7. Got fitted back in August for the full line. Ended up with TS3, 9.5°, +6g, fade setting B-1, 0.5" off, Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 60 (6.0) and Winn Dri-Tac Oversize Grips. Been a phenomenal driver, lots of speed. I wouldn't say that I have much more distance that my 915D2 but the sound, feel and speed are much more appealing. For anyone interested, ended up with TS2 16.5° fairway wood, default weight, B-1, 0.25" off, Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 60 (6.0) and TS2 23° hybrid, default weight, B-1, standard length, Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 80 HYB (6.0) both with Winn Dri-Tac Oversize. I
  8. Never given much thought to my left thumb being short or long. I'm definitely right in the middle. Gripping the club with a short thumb and the right thumb on the shaft like you described, I see how that is more restricting. I think we agree that laying the thumb over the grip "frees" up the rest of our grip and reduces the tension. I see 2 knuckles on my irons and 2.5-3 knuckles as I move to my driver. Stronger grip with my driver than irons, so not sure what that indicates about the rest of my swing and posture. I've never had much concern over posture, but in the last year, I've devel
  9. TLDR: tips on adjustments made (specifically to right thumb placement) to play with strong grip New member here. Been playing for 25 years, 31 years old. I’ve always had a fairly natural swing but over the years my swing has changed naturally and purposefully: -kept elbow tucked to reduce over swinging (very young) -over time I’ve developed a very strong grip -most recent changes include: tilting club forward at address, straightening left arm, opening stance to force follow through I’m not a “feel” player, as in I can’t tell you exactly what I’m feeling from one swing to the next. Very qui
