  1. If you’re willing to put the work in, especially at a beginner level, people can be one good lesson away from being fit into something like GI or player’s distance instead of SGI. It’s happened to three or four of my friends; one example is a guy who got fit into HMBs and got them about three weeks ago, and now he’s telling me he wishes he had waited and bought something more akin to the 921 forged. Your experiences might be different but I’m just commenting on what I’ve seen.
  2. This 100%. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen a friend get into golf with a $1000+ set of SGIs only to outgrow them in a month
  3. Agree with the above! If I didn’t already have the new t100 on order that would be very tempting!
  4. - Have you hit a Ventus shaft yet? What model? Never! Heard great things though, and hopefully will be trying one soon. - What Ventus TX shaft do you want to win? Ventus Blue 7TX - What club in your bag would a Ventus TX go in? Ping g410+ Driver!
  5. Not sure what his dropping out of the olympics has to do with his so called animosity with cobra. I think the whole driver sucks thing was blown out of proportion, and that Cobra guy coming out and talking bad about Bryson made it so much worse. From the clip it seemed clear to be that he was referring to his game not the club in particular. The situation is too blown up now though to go back to talking about that.
  6. I don’t have data, I can only speak to my own experience. I see at least 10x the DG than px lz. Could be an abnormality due to small sample size. Who knows.
  7. I wouldn’t say it’s possible to group irons by hdcp. Too much dispersion of ball striking. I mean if I had to place it I would say 12-6 would probably be the range depending on distance needs.
  8. Sorry my sarcasm must not have been evident. It is just a questionable release strategy imo. Leads to many unlucky souls buying multiple sets of irons.
  9. Titleist is going to do that silly thing they do where they release it 6 months later to boost sales. At least that’s what they did for the past couple releases.
  10. 7x is much harder to turn over. That’s the main difference I’ve seen.
  11. Imo the t100 look miles better than the 210, and the apex pro is a hollow body so not really in the same category anymore. I would lean more towards Breezy’s assessment in this case.
  12. To me the T100 is very visually similar to last year’s. Could be slightly smaller heel to toe but that could just be me. A bit more like the CB.
  13. This could be huge right here. I’ve already ordered T100 because they fit my game better but I’m expecting to see a lot of t200 orders.
  14. Callaway preowned has to be one of the best golf equipment stores out there. I was able to help a relative pick out a set of more or less new clubs from the past couple releases from <$500. The ability to buy tour clubs from there only makes it better!
  15. Absolutely. In my opinion equipment is more about what looks/feels good to the player more than anything else. Ex. I will never play a Callaway driver even though they somewhat perform for me, as I simply can't stand the sound of the ball coming off the face. To me a dead miss sounds the same as a pured shot.
  16. Insert looks a lot better in this pic. I'm leaning towards real.
  17. Might want to try this next cycle, but unfortunately I'm already locked in to DG X100 for this release. Contrary to common marketing things, I've had several prominent golf figures tell me that iron shafts are one of the least influential factors of equipment fitting; just get the weight right.
  18. Miura MB-101 with DG X100 TI would have to be it for me. Don't have the game to hit them yet, and playing competitively doesn't exactly suggest blades are in my near future. Perhaps one day, when I retire and move to Bandon, Oregon....
  19. I have to say, among the skilled people I play with it is hard to find a wedge without BV stamped on it. I personally branched out for a bit, but as far as looking for more spin I don't think you'll have much success. Maybe try the BV raw through the custom shop, which is what I'm currently rocking. If you're looking for feel, one of my staff friends plays Miura wedges and they're the sweetest things I've ever hit.
