  1. 11 clubs in the bag are PXG, great clubs and great value. I like the fact they include fittings and sell direct. Why do I need a useless big box store to make 40 points?
  2. These for me! I play 100-120 rounds a year and these EASILY last 5 years. Probably closer to 7-8 years. Twice a year wash them with dish soap and a soft brush, they are like new. I refuse to pay $10 for a GP grip that goes hard in 40 rounds. Alternative to Pure is Star, also extremely high quality and very long lasting.
  3. You might want to check out the accra i80. I use them in my pxgs and they are nice shafts, they go as high as the mmts and pxg can flight the shorter irons for you.
  4. I had elbow tendinitis and went Accra. I will never touch steel again! 100% cured.
  5. My pxg wedges are 36 5/8" and D4 swing weight, this was very easy for them to do.
  6. You can make a one-length set with the new 0311 Gen4s. The new big weight allows for easy variation of swing weight to make them all matching. If you are going 5-GW and all at say 63* you only have to bend max 1.5* for lie. They are forged heads so you can easily go 3-4*. PXG built me a TLT set that is MOI matching, only 1 3/4" from longest club to shortest.
  7. Another vote for graphite. I had it bad, switched to graphite and it's pretty much gone. Steel is the devil, you couldn't pay me enough to go back.
  8. Miura 2008 with nippon modus 120 stiff, about 14hc Switched to pxg 0211, accra i80 stiff, got to 8.5. Now 0311, accra i80 stiff, TLT BUILT, flighted 9i to GW. Currently 5.9 index No lessons but I'm also working on my swing and playing more. I don't know if it's the clubs or just improving my swing.
  9. found one on hole 14 today, used it the rest of the way... I went Par, Birdie, Par, Par. They are decent!
  10. AGREED! The putter should be held in your hands like all the other golf clubs.
  11. Looks like Mizuno going i210/PXG route and putting in an elastomer insert? Anyone privy to info? Does this mean I can finally order Mizzy cavities with graphite shafts and properly swing weight then to D4 in the shorter irons?
  12. I don't understand people. If they charged $99/club and free shipping, nobody would complain. At $89/club plus $60 shipping, PXG are rip-off artists! lol
  13. I think it really depends what type of swing you have. For a sweeper, fw woods and hybrids seem to work great. For diggers, they generally do better with irons.
  14. Take a look at the wishon eq1-nx, way better concept.
  15. Nailed it! So many keyboard trolls. I love my PXGs. The driver is the best I've ever gamed and so are the forged wedges If you think that you play Taylor Made clubs and the sticks you bought from Galaxy are the sticks DJ uses, I have swamp land to sell you in Florida. My buddy use to work on one of the tour trucks and the equipment they get is totally different. Kokrak won twice in the last year with Pxg irons, Gen2 and Gen4, that's great but Not my motivation when I buy clubs because I will never hit a ball like Kokrak.
  16. Pxg 0311 forged. Awesome on full shots, half shots and around the green. I think i just get along well with grind and sole width.
  17. LMAO. yup! What would you take a step back in feel and tech.
  18. Agree! That swing is fine for the rec golfer looking to bomb it past his buddies, that won't work on tour. Watch her misses when she crazy hooks it 190y with a 7i.... That is double bogey city. A hook miss will destroy you at the tour level.
  19. It's no better at TXG. I went to get fit for a set of PXG irons... an hour later they give me a bill for $5K. I decided to think about it, called PXG the next day, they gave me a free fit and I bought the same clubs from them for $2K.
  20. If you are 20 handicap, my guess is you are lucky to pure it maybe 1 in 10, so playing a blade will just increase your misses and your score. If you are good with that, play blades.
  21. I've owned Miuras and my answer is NO. If you want forgiveness and feel, get a PXG iron. You also can't go wrong with Mizuno and Ping
  22. If you like PING and want something that feels better and don't show the cavity, check out PXG. Both their 0211 and their 0311 perform great and sound and feel great.
  23. In 2020 I got fitted for a SB2. Loved it from the first day in the bag. Best putter I've ever used, could not be happier. At first, I thought it was too high a price to pay for a putter, now I think it's a bargain. Most birdies ever in a round for me was 3. I had a 5 birdie and 6 birdie round last year. The 6 birdie round I made 5 on the front nine and 1 on hole 10. I felt like Speithy in his prime! lol Buy it, don't even hesitate.
  24. I still can't figure out why Cobra uses different lie angles on their one length clubs, this totally goes away from the logic. I'm experimented with one length but now moved to compressed length set. I haven't used them enough yet to make a conclusion. What really interests me is a two length set. 5i to 8i at 37.25" and 9i to LW at 36.25". The only problem the gap between 8i and 9i, I would need it only to be 2* because of the length difference. PXG could make it work with a combo set but I would need to have two 9 irons in the bag. With the big screw on their Gen4 irons, they could SW batch each group and MOI match the entire set.
