  1. Wishing this was posted a few months from now because I'd be all over this. Beautiful set. GLWS
  2. Same. Gonna take every ounce of strength not to buy a matching 58*, but my T20 is still in great shape. Can anyone on here (already watched the 2nd Swing review) speak yet to the more compact profile? I don't really see it being an issue, but just curious if going from a T20 to T22 will be significant.
  3. Surprisingly no despite having moderate OCD. This year I started down a path to find what grip I feel most comfortable with so ultimately I think they'll all match. Right now I have TV Plus4's (some logo up, some down), TV Cord with with 2 full wraps and 3 extra bottom wraps, and MCC with 4 extra bottom wraps. And honestly I'm not sure which I prefer.
  4. Looking mostly for a TS2, but will consider TSi2, in good or better condition - ideally dent free and face not completely tattered. Only looking for 16.5* loft. Will consider head only or with x-stiff shaft. Thanks for looking!
  5. Pretty identical situation to me. For the better part of this year I strongly considered a 19-20° hybrid to gap my 4i and lone fairway. Then I started to tinker with my Cobra Fly-Z+ 5w (adjustable from 16-19°) - added an 86g shaft cut down to play at 42" and threw on a few strips of lead tape. The combo has transformed the club and it might be my favorite in the bag. It's been a beast at the 17.5° loft, but over the winter I'm going to add a 16° or 16.5° fairway (also with a heavier and shorter shaft) and play the 5w at 19° and likely cut it down to 41.5". I gamed a 2i for about 3 rounds and I ruled that out very quickly. Now I just need to ignore any thoughts of messing around with a hybrid.
  6. 1. Handicap? 14 2. Right or left hand golfer? Right 3. Current wedges and setup? Mizuno T20 52.09 & 58.12 4. Why do you want to be fit for TaylorMade MG3 wedges? I’m looking to add a wedge to create better gapping and versatility. MG2’s nearly ended up in my bag this past winter, but I ultimately chose T20’s due to price and shaft options. I loved the feel and look of MG2’s and am interested to see how MG3’s stack up. Lastly, I consider myself a pretty crafty wedge player and I’m extremely curious to find out which grinds and bounces are appropriate for my game. 5. Are you available to be on site 8/30/2021 through 9/1/2021? Yes 6. Will you be able to provide your own transportation to and from Reynolds Lake and East Lake Golf Club? Yes 7. Are you willing to post high quality photos in the forum, write an in depth review of the experience, and possibly be featured on GolfWRX or TaylorMade social media posts? Absolutely! Would love to showcase my creative/marketing abilities.
  7. Hzrdus Smoke Black RDX 6x in Mizuno ST-Z. Some days it’s on autopilot and others erratic, which obviously falls on me. Definitely interested in testing some Fuji or GD options in the winter.
  8. 1. City, State - Edmonds, WA2. Handicap - 153. What do you use for distances on the course? 18Birdies App and yardage markers4. If you use a laser rangefinder, what model do you use? N/A5. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? Yes!
  9. I’ve been playing with one fairway wood (5w) the last 6 years and while it generally works out, I may be changing to a two wood setup for gapping purposes (next club is a 4i and I don’t care for hybrids). Likely a 16-17° 4w and a 20-21° 7 wood. I have a driving iron, but realize I’m far more confident with the wood when I don’t need to hit driver. My current Dr/5w/4i setup leaves just slightly too big of gaps depending on what 5w loft I play on that particular day. I also have an open slot or two in the bag so why not add something new that also simplifies the game (in theory).
  10. I'll chime in with my brief experience. Plugged an AD VR 8X into a Cobra Fly-Z+ 5 wood playing at 42". This is my first go around with a Graphite Design shaft. Backstory: purchased for a low price via Facebook Marketplace from a second owner. After I purchased, I noticed that it looked like it was tipped almost excessively which had me a bit worried. The guy I bought from didn't know, but after having the tip replaced, it appears to have been tipped about 2.25" (assuming the uncut tip to first ring measurement is the standard 24.75"). The butt also had a really cheap extension, but fortunately I had planned to butt trim it anyway so that was no issue. Anyway, I've played at lofts of 17.5* and 19* and the results have been wonderful. Super easy to elevate and I love the little bit of kick right before impact - I don't have any other GD shafts to compare to, but to me it feels like just the right amount of kick for my swing. Launch and height fit my eye very well. At the moment I have a very neutral swing path and the ball doesn't waiver offline with this combo. Most of my shots have been dead straight or about a 3-5 yard draw. I've thrown in a couple of low, heely slicers that were entirely my fault. The learning curve/adjustment period was almost non-existent for me. Just plug and play. Yesterday I hit some of my more memorable shots playing at the 17.5* loft. 235 from the fairway to the pin and I choked down a couple inches - ball landed 5 yards short of the pin and rolled out to 6 feet past (missed the eagle putt ). Also nuked a couple off the tee with some side wind, but they maintained their lines beautifully. Ultimately I intend to play this setup at 19* (after adding a 4 wood) and possibly cut it down another 1/2" with the goal of hitting a specific gap. That said, it's definitely in the running for my 4w shaft and I'd like to test it in a driver. As I mentioned earlier, this is my first GD shaft but as of now I'm loving the feel and results.
  11. Have you hit a Ventus shaft yet? Yes, HB Blue 9x in my driving iron What Ventus TX shaft do you want to win? Blue 6TX What club in your bag would a Ventus TX go in? Mizuno ST-Z Driver
  12. I just picked up new T20s at the beginning of the year, but it’s looking like those may become backups pretty quick.
