Srixon ZX series starting to arrive...
par4bmw replied to SeaIsland's topic in Tour and Pre-Release Equipment
I play to an 8, with my irons being my weakness. The 5's were noticeably more forgiving for me. Obviously, the better your swing is to hit the sweet spot, forgiveness becomes closer between the 5's and 7's. Feel, sound and spin were quite different between the two. Highly suggest hitting both if you are debating between them or wanting a combo. -
I love Cobra. But wow, you take such a hit in resell. Has to be the largest of all the leading brands.

Focusing on green side, sand bunkers, the Ping Glide 3.0 Eye 60 wins easily for me. As more of a general purpose lob wedge, I prefer a Vokey 58 K grind.

Really like the solid face. Been using Bobby Grace putters for a while, but this will probably bring me back to Scotty. Best putting I have had in what seems like forever. Love the setup of it. Easy to square and a pure roll. Distance control is incredible

Love to have some mizzy’s -
Just ordered a set of i500s. Really wanted HMBs but my numbers were clearly better with the Pings. Still hope 510s come out in the spring with better sound/feel. Only downside for me on what is a great looking and performing club.

5 wood is my favorite club. All time favorite was a TM 200 smoothie with an Accra SE80. Incredible workability but a sweet spot the size of a dime. Now, I can’t imagine a more balanced, accurate and workable wood than my Cobra F7 baffler / Chrome Elements. So much confidence with it.

The videos and reviews out there talk about the short irons having higher toes and the longer irons shorter length. Sounds very minor but improved looking with thinner top line. I have not seen them though so this is only from what others said.

That is what I was going to say. The Raylor is for sure a modern Ginty. Like you said,, not new though. Not sure what has such a deep v face of today's releases. I had the California Ginty where each layer of wood was a different color. Cool club. Was great out of the rough.
