  1. So "currently" working through some F'd up medical aspects that came forward last month at Bandon..... never sick until you go to the doctor JK Having had the last 3 weeks away got me thinking of seeing a instructor. Wondering who most recommend?
  2. Yea I fear the smoke might be an issue but will be nice to be home for a few days.
  3. I had a number of shafts too for a long time
  4. Will be playing it in 3 weeks roughly, hoping for the same weather. I also love Wilderness Club, when I go home to see family I always play WC.
  5. This September, you camping out for 14 days prior to golfing? I know at the end of March this year Ireland lifted some restrictions and but held them for certain "high risk" countries but on the website it still notes a 14 day mandatory quarantine? Maybe the embassy website has not been updated? Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes The Government of Ireland requires all travelers (except if your journey originates in Northern Ireland) to quarantine for 14 days, with very limited exceptions. EDIT: I found an article that notes on July 19th that Ireland is allowing American tourists to come and only show proof of vaccination now.
  6. Payed it last year twice and probably will not go back. Its a fun track but both times last year but both rounds over 5 hour. So unless you get off really early I assume its the norm out there. We played around noon or so both times.
  7. You can do either the room or directly on your CC when you check in for the round of golf.
  8. Not sure what is wrong with people today. It is crazy how calm everyone is though.
  9. So with the Korn Ferry event this weekend at TPC I was looking through the photos in the link below. Noticed that almost all the players whore like a saddle golf shoe? I think I saw one person wearing Nike. Also Titleist must sponsor 65% of the Korn Ferry players...LOL Is anyone going to the event?
  10. Just got back from 4 days there and no issues when we were there if you booked it out far enough. I also did not hear of anyone saying the are having issues with getting one. I know they are down on caddies but overall I think they have it covered. I should note my caddie was one of the Evans Scholar's and he was good. Not a "top" caddie you can get out there if you know one and schedule them way in advance, but he was good. We played one round with someone who also had a Evans scholar and she seemed good too.
  11. How bad I suck *probably first would be course conditions but lately PACE OF PLAY
  12. Wishing everyone a great and safe 4th weekend with families.
  13. Looks amazing. Playing it in Auguat, really looking forward to it
  14. That sounds odd. ZX7 are plated, or pretty sure they?
  15. Did you factor in the CRISP BENJAMIN at the end of the round in those totals (JK) Always wondered though...for those who complete Solstice for the first time, do they frame the BENJI and hang it up to remember? Spend it in the pro shop? Drinks? Etc.
  16. Awesome write up @spud3 Looking forward to my first time playing Bandon.......Tomorrow
  17. Dead on in both aspects. We have our own DB and family to split up the time so cost no issue but YES the prices on that have gone nuts up there.. As to golf courses in GF Public... Andaconda GC, Eagle Falls GC and some 18 hole excutive (name slips me) Private.... Meadlowlark CC Having played them all for what seems like a 100 times, nothing to write home about but it is golf. The fishing is awesome in Craig area but still say Whitefish area for both is best / balance for both. There is Big Sky / Bozemen / Gallatin Valley area which would be a great area IF the OP is a member of a private club.
  18. Drift boat that area all the time, some awesome trout fishing. I grew up in GF and family has a place on Hollter. Though there is not much for good golf in that area sadly.
  19. So dont live in Portland BUT what the ******* with the coming heat this weekend? We will be going down to Bandon Saturday afternoon once we land but I see it is listing 104-107 range for the weekend in Portland? CRAZY..!
  20. @BG5 Awesome thread. Will be there this weekend / first of next week. Love the pictures and the comments. Will be there 26th - 30th also playing. Not in the 4-Ball event though.
  21. Hands down MT...! Go to Whitefish Mt...! Some of the best fly fishing in the country on the southfork and there is some excellent golf in the area. If you lake fish Flathead Lake is excellent too. Roughly 45 mins up the road from Whitefish is https://www.wildernessclubmontana.com/resort-activities/golf * A course that is on my top 10 and I have played a number of courses. I agree the way people are flocking to MT right now you could have an issue booking a place BUT you never know unless you try.
