  1. Here is what Bandon sells directly. SR is not available yet it looks like....and yes fairly expensive. https://bandondunesgolfshop.com/collections/golf/products/professional-greens-guide-strackaline-50-per-book-or-175-for-all-four?_pos=1&_sid=ad9e424a6&_ss=r&variant=28057066143828
  2. Thanks. We will be right after the event (4 days) but I also noticed the links championship is going on while we are there.
  3. Question, what dates are the Solstice this year?
  4. United Airlines is flying direct into North Bend from DIA now. Going end of June and we looked at it but decided to do Portland and play the day we land. Edit: Plus if I recall right I don't think they had flights the days we are going. I think it started a few days after our trip. Also the direct flights I am pretty sure was certain days.
  5. They have some models similar but since I had the clicgear already it was cheaper to go with the alphard. Agree so much better for the game
  6. I picked up a https://alphardgolf.com/ and added it to a Clicgear. Not sure why I did not do this sooner, amazing and makes walking / playing sooooo much better.
  7. YES it is. Conditions are typically CC level. If wind is blowing it can be brutal
  8. Pecking around last night found a 2 some at Riverdale Dunes next Saturday (15th) at 7:37. If anyone is interested in playing let me know.
  9. Love my ZX7's.... !!!! What shaft did you go with?
  10. Eugene CC as we "might" have access but looks like they are doing renovations during that time, so 3-5 holes may not be available. I have played Langdon before and thought it was an excellent track (Liked it more then Pumpkin Ridge for sure) FGL looks fantastic. Have to look at that further. Will have to do shorty's for sure, honestly forgot about shorty's and will do that the day we arrive and can do punchbowl one of the other nights. We will be there June 26th -30th. If any overlaps with others, hit me up, always down for a cold one and talking golf.
  11. First trip end of June. Flying into Portland fairly early and plan to play a course on way down. We booked about 3 months ago so was happy they could fit us in to the dates we had open. Taking a caddie as many have noted is a must, plus I want the full experience. Day 1: TBD round on way to Bandon / Punch Bowl (mainly to get used to green speeds) Day2: Sheep Ranch / Bandon Trails Day3: Bandon Dunes / Preserve Day 4: Pacific Dunes / Old Mac Day 5: Open for morning round if we want / Drive back Portland I saw the talk on shoes on the prior pages and glad to see all the positives on Ecco's. I pretty much only use Ecco's. The new S-Three Golf Shoes (spikeless) are the most comfortable I have worn todate!!! If you like Ecco I would highly recommend them. *Also as to water proof aspects, I have never once had an issue with feet getting wet in them.
  12. You sneak a putter in there
  13. Dunes is probably my favorite in the area. Only 15 mins up E470 for me. Some good ones up north too.
  14. Yea I had that coming
  15. Have a question how you guys post scores VS USGA rules on posting scores. @Gmcourtney and I as I noted prior played CG last weekend. No I did not shoot 107 I shot 78/77 and was noted as such on my scorecard. I had one hole that was listed as 7/6 MD.... The MD stands for "Max Dbl". I keep notes like many do on what I did right, wrong or F'd up completely LOL. Given my current Hdcp index the hole I took the triple on was not a stroke hole so per USGA rules the max it says I can take is double bogey. * I think if it was a stroke hole the max then would be triple, the double plus the stroke for the hole. Unless they changed the rule in 2021? Anyway I went to post the score online today and it got me wondering what most of you do? Do you guys post straight up what you shot OR do you guys follow USGA handicap rules? Either way I am posting "107" *Mental note, I really really need to work on my sand game.......
  16. Alot of good info / recommendations but I would toss out TS 2/3 or TSi 2-3. Every forgiving drivers and long as anything out.
  17. Good guess, it went for $2620 for a foursome. $655 a person...ouch. I know it is a limited access course but that seems excessive, sooooo many other top courses you could access for less.
  18. @Gmcourtney and I hit up CG early this morning and as always had a great time with @Gmcourtney. Played decent and shot a "super smooth" 107 with two doubles. Holding strong at 24.3 On positive note, we know now and then we get paired with "that group". NOT today, great group today. Awesome husband and wife and they both could flat out play beside being great people..! The husband shot 1 under and should of really been more like 2-3 under based on how many putts he missed. Playing with good people is always so much better. I am just glad the Hdcp is rounding into shape. LOL
  19. Second person I have heard this from. *by the way nice progress on your HDCP drop... well done Saddle Rock is decent and in decent shape right now. Should be in really good shape next week or so. Have you looked at Murphy Creek? Close to GVR since you played out of there and a great test. Its long and the wind blows it be over the top tough. Good thing about Denver there a many excellent coursed. Common Ground was great shape today and good routing.
  20. YES we are LOL I fear for those playing with us, given the state of my current swing it might make people puke a little in their mouth
  21. WOW this place looks impressive...!
