  1. Funny this came up. I was watching it the other day and my wife came walking through and said "WTF is Jordon wearing?...Blech"
  2. Thank you sir! Greatly appreciated!
  3. So, I can install this without fear of failure?
  4. Buddy of mine bought a modus 120 wedge shaft off ebay. I'm going to install it for him but he sent me this pic with a crimp in both sides. Questions. 1. Is this OK to use 2. What would the crimp be for? Thanks in advance
  5. I have a few range sessions and 2 rounds under my belt with them. 7-GW are awesome. I am struggling with my long irons but that is the indian and not the arrow. I can really feel where the club is at and it has improved my tempo. At times I feel that they are really heavy but again, right now I am a mental midget. I dont think that I have lost anything going from 105 stiff to the 125 stiff. I do have KBS 120s in the bullpen that will be soft stepped b/c I dont feel like wasting $$ on a gap wedge shaft. LOL
  6. I just went through this. I went to lighter shafts b/c I thought that I would have "more gas in the tank" toward the end of the round and wouldnt feel so beat up. That was 2 years ago. I finally went to modus 125s from 105s. Ball flight was pretty much the same, but I could really feel where the club was and felt like I was smoother. I always felt that with the 105s I really had to concentrate on tempo. I got lucky throwing the 125s right in there but I would do what stuart g said.
  7. I listen to music on the course. I have a small speaker for the cart/ bag. I always ask playing companions if they mind the music and I try to make just loud enough so we can only hear it in the cart. My only gripe is when I can hear someone else's music 2 fairways over and know what the lyrics are.
  8. The van is through 2nd swing. Just has a couple more bells and whistles than the regular fitting. Thanks for all the replies! Keep em coming!
  9. I do tinker. I just threw new shafts into my irons and feel confident doing my own work. Stuart is right, I could shop around here or flea bay n get something that catches my eye cheaper than what 2nd swing would charge n definitely cheaper than club champion
  10. I guess I'd just really like to know what my specs are so I can either adjust what I have OR buy something.
  11. I am turning 50 this summer and thought I'd treat myself to a fitting if for nothing more than to get the basics (correct lie angle, shaft weight, flex, club head/ball speed, launch angle and spin rate). I have looked at a full bag fitting at 2nd swing for $150 for the basic full bag package (waived if I buy something) 1.5 hours OR the tour van fitting 2 hours for $600 but need to spend $2000 for that to be "waived". Club Champion is $350 for 3.5 hours for the full bag. Probably wouldnt buy anything from them due to the horror stories I have read about here. It's not like I am really in the market for clubs, but in true ho form, why not? and I am sure I can surely find SOMETHING to buy. Has anyone gone through this process? Is one better than the other? is the basic package good enough? Any input would be greatly appreciated
  12. If you are doing navy, black, or gray shorts, it'll work, but as mentioned, with light colored shorts, not so much
  13. I am going through this now. Tried to make a swing change during the start of the pandemic (that didnt go so well), took a lesson, got back on track, then started playing competitive golf and it all went to poop. Its definitely a mind game. Take some time, dont put too much pressure on yourself (easier said than done)
  14. I did it for a few years. Did Oakley M Frames (ALA David Duval), then went to the flak jackets and for some reason got away from wearing them. Couple range sessions and putting green sessions is all it took, maybe 1 or 2 times on the course. I should really go back to using them.
  15. I am definitely going to resurrect a couple of the other blade covers. I emailed B & B and they said that there was a bad batch of velcro that they got and they'd send me a new one. They also said that they are moving to magnetic closures so I just might wait on that
  16. Something along this line https://www.amazon.com/LOVIMAG-Strong-Neodymium-Magnets-Powerful/dp/B08K2KYW8K/ref=sr_1_22_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=heavy+duty+magnet&qid=1620140587&sr=8-22-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyUU1MRjhRQkxHRUNJJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTU4NDk5M1JKTzBGVE01WURRSiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDgwNjM0MlVSSFdYTUowSUQ0MiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2J0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
  17. I had thought of that, but wasn't sure how to go about it. I'm assuming I would need to go Lowes/ Home Depot for magnets?
  18. Hit something that is going to leave me a full: gap, 54, or 58 in. That being said, I'll have either a dicey wedge or 6 iron in
  19. Little update. 1st I am swinging like a dog but I digress. I love the feel of these in the lower irons but they are a bit too heavy. Not having good results in the 5 and 6. Granted it has only been 2 range sessions and 1 round (which was a comp, so probably not the best round to start using these). I will give them some more time, but in true WRX form, I now have a set of KBS 120s coming
  20. Title says it all. Looking for a square mallet magnetic headcover for spider. I had the original spider but that was blah, then a Stitch but that seemed like it would fit a mid-mallet better, currently a chico's bail bonds mallet cover from B&B Headcovers (and I love it) but the velcro is failing after less than a year and it falls off quite a bit. So what's good out there that wont break the bank.
  21. On the range I am picking targets and just hitting the ball, nothing more nothing less. When I get on the course its a myriad of swing thoughts (which isn't good). On the range I start with 1 or thoughts and they gently fade and I'm hitting the ball well. Again, step to the tee and the thoughts start all over. It isnt the carefree swing that I had on the range (nor do I expect it to be b/c nothing is on the line at the range). The #1 thought that creeps in is the dreaded smother hook and then the thoughts on how to correct that start. And I get what you are saying how the range thoughts and course thoughts are adding up.
  22. @melloyellow, I have always been able to play through some funks like this but this has been bad. I have my last match this sunday and I'm just going to out and deal with it. Play for dead last. LOL
