  1. Looking for some advice on where I can get one of these refinished? I feel like a few refinish companies had inserts from TM that they could use but can't seem to find anything with my poor google-fu. TY!
  2. Lol.. The irony of a bunch of guys complaining about how out of touch the LPGA is on women's clothing is awesome. Why are some of you SOO invested? It's kind of creepy. This nothing thread would have been a great Seinfeld episode.
  3. GREAT putter and condition Ben. I don't think the flat black does her justice with a camera. Whoever gets her will be a lucky golfer.
  4. Lol.. no putter.. I never found a Scratch Putter I liked enough to make the investment. And although I am a GREAT admirer of Slighter and we've shared emails on a few projects, nothings ever come of them. I always get busy.. that said, thanks for the reminder.. I do have a few putters that could use his skills.. mmmm...
  5. I don't have enough ROTFLMFAO for the OP Headed to the store to find some.
  6. I have way too many putter covers and they are sitting in a box. I grab whatever looks cool on my way out. I'd decided to get them out of the box and at least put them on a shelf just so I don't have to dig anymore. I dump the box over and look what was in the bottom. Lol... Can't even remember who I got it from. NOT FOR SALE (prob not worth much anyway). Just thought my fellow putter geeks would appreciate a walk back down memory lane. :-)
  7. Phil doesn't get enough credit. If Tiger plays soccer instead of Golf, Phil is #2 instead of Woods. That makes him the easy #3.
  8. As I sit here watching the US Open, I thought of this thread. It seems to me that most of the Pros come up short too. Very few go long. Just sayin.....
  9. I was going to feel bad, but then I realized you live in Australia. Quite possibly the coolest and most fun country in the entire world. Where else can you get bitten by a shark, punched by a kangaroo, out drank by a hottie and wrestle an croc all in the same day? All the while dodging venemous little beasts that can kill you with one eye. Addidas should have sent you a card that said "good to be you in FORKING AUSTRALIA!! Quit your whinging" ;)
  10. This. The guy was a Doosh and it's a Doosh move. You have to recognize it and punch (figuratively) him first. "Hey Jeff, I'm putting for bogey here". Hey Jeff, I'm chipping for bird". Hey Jeff, I really want to make this par putt" And, when he asks as you address, back off and go through your entire pre-shot again. Walk the green if that's what it takes to settle down. Make him and everyone else wait. I would refrain from going after him "hey Jeff, what is this for you?", because it'll just get you out of rhythm. But telling him your score, etc.. puts YOU in control vs. him. When you run into these guys, you have to screw with them twice as hard as they screw with you.
  11. Ugh.. I hate the quote restrictions.. BH.. I agree. But you don't get one without the other. And, it's disingenuous (or arrogant) to think you don't use the forgiveness. There's a reason the UDIs, etc.. are getting so popular. It's essentially a GI iron. And to think that Mark doesn't benefit from a hybrid mishit over a 2 iron mishit is, IMHO, also disingenuous.. All of the same principles that apply to a guy of marks skill level with the 3H vs the 3I apply to a guy of my skill level with a 7I 900 forged vs a 900 HM.
  12. His reason is ball flight and spin related, not forgiveness/ball striking. Uh.. Ya.. kinda like GI/SGI irons with their low center of gravity and high launch.. And yes, a hybrid is more forgiving. To say he doesn't get an advantage from that on a few shots is silly. You were implying in your other post that he couldn't hit any higher than a 5 iron and had to use a hybrid instead, which just isn't true. Nobody's saying a hybrid isn't more forgiving than a long iron, but forgiveness doesn't really have any reason to do with why he chooses to use a 23° hybrid. Sure it's a byproduct of his decision, but he's not sitting there thinking "I can't hit a 4 iron, better get a hybrid instead." His reason that he's explained more than once is that he is getting older and can't generate as much speed as he used to, so he prefers a hybrid because he gets more consistent launch and spin numbers out of them than a 4 iron. I'm not implying. I'm saying. He hits hybrids because they are easier to hit and give him more options on the course. Just like a GI iron. *Theres virtually no distiction* no matter how much blade guys want to make it so. Mark can probably hit a 2 iron fine, but he hits the snot out of his hybrids. I *could* hit JPX900 forged, but I hit the HMs a TON better. For very similar reasons mark uses hybrids instead of irons. They make the game easier.

  14. I guesss no one sees the irony of MC saying that while going to hybrids ( a giant GI club) after his 5Iron?
